how to play multiplayer CIV?

I 've played a lot CIVILIZATION single play. and today i want to play multiplayer game. I did'nt play such a way and i need all information(even basis ones).How to do? what requiries(softwares,websites..) to play.

Actually, since you're posting in civ1 forum, I shall assume you want to play MP Civ1. Then the only solution is to grab CivNet for Windows. It's quite simple to use.
Otherwise Civ2 Gold also comes with built-in MP mode.
