Hi,

I have recently bought a Gold Edition of Civ IV on Amazon and it came with Warlaord expansion pack. My friends have a regular Civ IV and apparently because of this we cannot play internet game (we get into different internet lobbies).

So my question is: how do I remove the expansion pack?
During installation (even in the custom install mode) the installer asks no questions, except to what directory the game should be installed.

You should be able to run the regular Civ IV (also known as CIV) without removing the Warlords. Warlords uses files from the regular CIV, it does not replace them. Look in the CIV game folder. There should be an exe there for the CIV game, as well as a Warlords folder. The exe for the Warlords game is inside the Warlords folder. Your installer may have given you a shortcut to run Warlords. If you are using that then you will have the problem that you describe. Either use the exe in the top level CIV folder or create a shortcut for that exe and place it on your desktop and use that. Launching in either of these ways will ignore the Warlord expansion. BTW, I am referring to the CIV folder in your Programs folder, not the one in your Documents folder.
