We have a cable modem here and I want to connect a second PC wirelessly. What do I need to buy? The setup is simply a cable wire going to a cable modem, which then has a rj45 to the computer.

Computer 1: P4 1.3, 756MB, XP Home
Computer 2: P4 3.0, 1GB, XP Pro

and a wireless pci card for the wireless computer

In more detail:

A wireless router normally comes with at least one wired port, so you can hook your existing PC into it, and set up the wireless part. The wireless PC can then connect via wireless connection.

The router goes between the modem and the wired PC. Thus, any PC connected to the router goes through the modem for internet access. All systems on your internal network will have IP addresses like "192.168.1.xxx", with "xxx" being the number assigned to that individual PC. The router will serve as a gateway, and will have both a gateway IP (e.g., 192.168.1.1), and also the internet IP address that your ISP assigns to your system (e.g. 68.114.167.210).
