How to start PBEM

Me and my friend wanted to play eachother on Civ so we both went out and bought Play the World. But we have no clue how to to start one. The book that came with it does a poor job of explaining how to create it and I could not find it anywhere on the civfanatics website. I am very excited to start a PBEM game.

First, you go to the Multiplayer screen. Then, set game type as Play By Email and the internet/server thingie as local. Choose all the other settings you want, and then launch.
