quick question -- made a cruise missile and couldn't move it onto a submarine (like in civ2) or onto a carrier.

how do you move these around and get them on a ship so you can use them?

i think you would have to load them when both missile and sub are in a city, using the load key. Air units and missiles cant really "move" anymore, just bombard. I have never tried to load cruise missiles before, since they are useless.

Unless you mod the game, cruise missiles can't be loaded onto submarines (or carriers, etc). Only tactical missiles can be loaded onto nuclear submarines (but not on non-nuke subs).

Cruise missiles CAN be loaded onto transports, but since they do not have the "load" option command, the only way to do it is to place your transport next to a coastal road/railroad and move the cruise missile from an adjacent tile (on the coast) to the tile containing the transport.

Hope that helps.

Since bombers cannot sink warships in Civ III (which is ABSURD) I gave all bombers attack and defense strengths, and movement values. They can attack and sink ships now!

yeah but Troyens, does the AI utilise your bombers that can sink ships? If not then it's gonna be of little use and only provide you, the human player, with a significant advanatge.

Also, this makes navies suck even more, since they can´t defend against the air units. I agree that the current system is stupid, but your solution is no better for play balance.
