How exactly work Project "Internet"?

"Gives all technologies of 2 civilizations."

Which two civilization? Most developed? or the draw?

Owner of internet receives a particular tech when at least 2 civs own the same technology (if it's a monopoly tech owned by one civ, internet owner will get it when some other civ researches or trades for it).

The way I understand it, if any 2+ Civs have a technology you don't have, you get that tech.

It carries on working after you build it, important to remember as well.

I don't think I would have been able to win at Immortal without it

It's so great. You can almost shut off research at that point and switch to espionage or gold for rushing (World conquest! Nukes!), or just focus on one part of the tech tree and let the rest trickle over instead of trading for them.

Indeed, I just go for fusion (in a space race) and turn my slider to 0% afterwards.

UVE GOT IT WRONG. IT GIVES ANY TECH KNOWN BY 2 CIVS THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE THE KNOWLEDGE OF

I'm usually pretty far ahead in tech by the time the internet is available, so I don't bother to build it.

On High level play the internet is a must as you are usually behind on tech. On lower level you can prevant the Ai form getting a bunch of free techs.

And it's important since those AI bonuses accumulate throughout the ages. They get bigger and bigger bonuses the farther the game goes along.

Time to up the level then! If the internet doesn't help you, you need to have more of a challenge.

by the time the internet is available... you should be beyond the other civs in your techs...

at least it always seems that way to me unless i'm utterly losing a game... but i would have quit by then...

Is the Internet like the Manhattan Project where 1 person builds it and everyone else enjoys the benefits? Or does the Internet Project just apply to the person who builds it? Are all projects like the Manhattan Project?

Internet only works for whoever builds it (and any team members), it's like a wonder that can't be hurried.

Ah, okay. I never feel motivated to build the Manhattan Project, cause I know someone else will eventually. Or I just live without nukes that game.

Yeah, the Internet, at higher levels, will almost guarantee at least a 3rd place win.

Well the AI doesn't do space very well so if you can build the internet you are normally in with a good chance.

I generaly don't use the Internet project, though I do build it.
