I have added some guilds in Orbi but they work just BtS guilds, just adjusted to fantasy world. Guild of the nine works fine, too.
But as Xienwolf said said, most of the custom fields are gone, so no bonus xp or free buildings & promotions from guild alone. Only crime field is in, but that is not the most usefull one if you ask me...
If you want to work on dll, you can get FfH source files in this thread.
Here you go. It's version 0.33g. It's premodified for the use with Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition though. It contains the FfH source files, my Makefile for FfH (you will have to change the first two paths in here to fit your system) and the VC08 project files. Copy everything in a folder of your choice and add the directories Boost-1.32.0 and Python24 from the original BtS source files directory to it. A click on the solution file CvGameCoreDLL.sln should open up the project.
Edit: Don't forget that you need to install Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition, the Microsoft Visual C++ Toolkit 2003 and the library files mentioned in the guide posted earlier first, before you can do anything. There is no need to download the Microsoft Platform SDK separately any more. It comes along with VC2008. Usually it will be under C:/Program Files/Microsoft SDKs/Windows/v6.0A after the VC2008 installation.
Edit2: Of course you can use the source files with any other development environment too.
I think that the removal was intentional because Kael plans a new system and it requires complete removal of the current one. It's still painful to see these changes without knowing of the result.
