How would you rate the New Frontier Pass so far?

Hard for me to judge fairly at the moment because I'm on a bit of a downer with the game. I still haven't even completed a game with Secret Societies/Ethiopia! I can't put my finger on why, other than the general sense that the new stuff adds a shiny gloss but hasn't done anything to fix the mid/late game doldrums.

I probably need to go up a difficulty level (I play exclusively on King) but presently I lack the motivation to do even that.

Has the recent update changed people's minds? I love the look of the new civilisations but once again, I'm disappointed in the lacklustre game mode. Is the NFP worth the price you paid?

I haven't played the new game mode yet, but I don't see how it could radically alter my views.

I've talked about this elsewhere (if you want me to rehash it I will, but I don't want to be that guy who just whinges about the same thing over and over!), so to be brief, I don't really regret the money spent, it's not terrible. Most of my negative feeling is just that I felt that they gave the wrong impression as to what I was going to get, and so I'm now disappointed and a bit disillusioned. On the other hand, I don't think there is much positive either; Byzantium and maybe Gaul are cool, and I like SS, but the rest hasn't made any real difference.

They have scope to pull this back for me, they have several packs left, but I'm keeping my expectations low and hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised.

Personally I'm very pleased with NFP. In all my years of playing civ6 I've played scenarios maybe twice whereas I've used one of the optional game modes for almost every new game I've started since NFP came out. They're not to everyone's taste and I don't imagine myself using all of them all the time but I've certainly gotten more mileage out of secret societies, dramatic golden ages, and random tech modes than I ever have with the old scenario system.

Is the only hint that of an "alternate economy?" unfortunately to me that doesn't sound like adding anything substantial relating to corporations... We'll have to wait and see.

This thread has more details: https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/speculation-possible-game-mode.663125/page-2

Basically a new 'Improvements' table has been found in the code with columns 'ImprovementType', 'Industry', 'Corporation'.

However, my guess isn't wouldn't be anything 'substantial' in the level I'd expect in an expansion - i.e. Corporations as a mechanic to spread and interact with other civs and potentially lead to a economic victory. More so something akin to secret societies - i.e. found corporation X based on having Y number of strategics first, get access to unique improvement Z.
