HP Pavilion 500-424 desktop [Processor AMD A8-6410 APU with AMD Radeon R5 Graphics, 2000 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)]

I was wondering if anyone has this setup, and how they set their advanced graphic game options.

I don't have an HP but similar specs: AMD Quad-Core Processor A8-6410 (Up to 2.5 Ghz) with AMD Radeon R5 Graphics
My PC can't handle the Game when set all the settings at high quality, but I'm using these settings to at least enjoy the Infrastructures and Units Graphics with great quality, and Natural Wonders with good quality (setting high quality to terrain slows down the Game immensely), and enabling shadows adds a lot to that:

Advanced Graphics Settings:
- Vertical Sync (On)
- Frame limiter (Disabled)
- HR Asset Textures (On)
- HQ Visual Graphics (low)
Shadows:
- Shadows (enabled)
- Shadow Resolution (minimum)
Terrain:
- Quality (Low - Memory optimised)
- HR Textures (On)
- High Detail Clutter (On)
Animated Leaders: Static

Everything else is disabled or set to minimum. and DX11. Hope that will help you.

Thanks for sharing.

Right now I have performance and memory impacts set to minimum. I do have day/night cycle activated. It looks good to me. I would like to see images or videos that show the differences.

P.S. Question about multiplayer (hot seat), does the wonders and natural wonders screens not appear when you built or found them?

I think I have the Day/Night Cycle off, but I'm not sure if it causes any major performance issues. I prefer to choose the Time myself.

Yes, they don't work in Multiplayer. There is a Mod that enables that, just look in the Workshop and you'll find it.

Are you using Directx 11 or 12?

Is the freezing up after you click end turn common? What is the best solution?

It rarely happens. I set the Game to save every 2-3 Turns so if it does happen I won't lose many turns/time. But that's rarely the case when playing a normal Game, however, when I test Mods that I make it does freeze sometimes.

I use Task manager to set the priority of the Game to High. And when I play a Game for a long Time, say more than 1.5 Hour, the Game gets a bit slower, and it keeps getting slower the more I play. So I turn off the PC and On again, start and load the Game, and it plays much better than before.

EDIT: And don't have other applications active while playing the Game, especially Google Chrome, they take too much Memory and slow down the Game.
