HQ1 Succession Game: For the glory of Greece (OPEN GAME)

Time for pure toture.

I will grab another round of the game. At this point, I agree - space race.

I really want to see a lot games in limbo finish. This is the closest one right now.

(0) 1848 AD - Cancel mining for a city that can NEVER use the hill.
GACK - I really understand the comment on a lousy fp location now that I can look at the map.

I agree - conquest won't happen, to I empty the transports sitting next to Greece back to the homeland.

(I) I watch of DDay forces get massacared. The Iroqoius lost way more then us, but...
Begin flight research.

(1) 1850 AD - We have cities with absurd amount of food. Begin the tile mining project.
We need cash, and luxuries badly.
I sell Atomic Theory for Egypt for Espionage, $207 (all cash), wm, $5/turn
We give Russia and absurd Horses, Iron, Gems for Dyes - However, we MUST stay in Democracy to win the space race easily.
(I) Eretria is captured by the Iroqoius.
Egypt allies with France against us
Really mad - We lost our source of dyes - Russia has NO harbor

(2) 1852 AD - To fix our income problems, science drops to 30%. We need to get OUT of war mode NOW!
Argos has 14!!!!! extra food - time to go mining.
(I) 40% luxuries and cities are rioting.

(3) 1854 AD - To win the space race, we MUST get peace. No luck this time.
(I) Russia / Egypt trade embargo.

(4) 1856 AD - Eretria is recovered.
To end the wars, and get the space race going.
Peace with France for Lisht.
Peace with Iroqoius for Heidleburg.
Both these were 1/1 cities on a junk island.
Question will the peace hold?

(5) 1858 AD - Luxuries drop to 10%. Science back to 60%. To infinity and beyond....
(I) We lose some wltkd, but we want to research above all.

(7) 1862 AD - Begin research on Radio.

(12) 1872 AD - Begin research on Fission - UN prebuild in begun.
I love scientific, rocketry for free [dance]
Spaceship is getting closer.
Palace expansion.

(13) 1874 AD - It starts again, France and Egypt ally versus us. My game plan - IGNORE them.
Iroqoius / Egypt trade embargo.

(14) 1876 AD - For the most part...
Poiters is taken.

(15) 1878 AD - Toulouse is taken. The island is almost Greek again.

(17) 1882 AD - France lands on our land mass - we loss 1 tank to a rifleman clearing up the French garbage.

(18) 1884 AD - More French land, and die. 1 tank went elite.

(19) 1886 AD - Start research on Space Flight. To infinty and beyond...

Summary - UN in 3 turns. Space flight being researched.

My idea with FP was to move the palace north a little later. then the home continent would be a major production base, little corruption anywhere. If both of you say that it was weed, i suppose it was weed, but it did not seem like weed when I thought about moving the palace north.

Harleqin,

Tell you what - play another 20, and I will follow you up and finish the game (hopefully). I got the game to the Modern age.

We have even artillery and tanks to stop any AI invasion.

Preturn: Things look good at home, but we're still at war. A quick call to Egypt and France and we're once again at peace.

1890-92 (1-2): Nothing much to do

1894 (3): United Nations build. We decline the offer to hold elections. Start prebuilding for Apollo.

1916 (14): Tons of pollution strike.

1918 (15): Many Labs go online. Still, no reduction in researchtime.

1920 (16): Wines to Egypt for 16/t. Gems for 21/t. Spices for 21/t. We sell gems to France for 10/t. We get silks for furs, ivory and spices.

1922-24 (17-18): A few quiet turns.

1926 (19): Superconductor learnt. We start Ecology heading for synthetic fibers as the exterior casing will take some time to build. Placeholders switched to parts.

Things are looking good. Let's wrap this one up.

[dance][dance] Another game out there awhile is compelted.

Yeah, some workers were automated when I got the game. I considered if I should switch it off or not. In the end I decided that since it was so late in the game I might as well leave it on. I also automated a few more so they could take care of the pollution (shift+A). I don't normally automate, but this time I didn't really care. We have a very good output in the group of cities and nothing can change that.

So when is HQ2 coming up?

Soon. I'll be leaving for a night out with my friends soon, but I'll start up a regent game tomorrow. Don't know which civ yet, bu they'll be industrious. Perhaps Egypt or America. France is out as I've played a lot with them recently.

Go for Egypt.
