HRY3 - Requiem for the Monarchs

@Elvis1985. IMO Indian settler is moving in north. When I do OCP I have few overlapped tiles for the reason I don't want any wasted tiles. Secondly I try to place cities in hills or in rivers.

Pre-turn: Why look at the king! I didn't realize today was the day.

Our Golden Age ends :(

Knossos Settler -> Court
Troy Worker -> Library

5 90:
Eagle's Nest Hoplite -> Market
Argos Settler -> Hoplite
Ephesus Hoplite -> Worker

6 70:
Delphi Worker -> Worker

8 30:
Delphi Worker -> Galley

9 10 BC:
Rhodes Hoplite -> Library

10 10 AD:
Ephesus Worker -> Court
Phocaea founded.

Notes: Fairly uneventful. Indians have not poached any territory from us thankfully. They seem to be heading north, probably seeking the oil in the northern tundras.
I recommend switching Corinth to Leonardo's when Invention comes in. We'll need Leo's to pay for the expensive Hoplite to Musket upgrade.
Start building military soon to destroy a neighbor, probably the Indians.

The Save:
Hail to The King!

How did you change the grpahic? yes, start assaulting india. although it will be hard to get to their capital when there are elephants hunting us? :) where is Delhi? at the other end or near us?

mfG mitsho

I didn't change it. It's an Easter Egg, actually. On a certain day, the king units in regicide mode all turn into Elvis!

India won't be a problem. They're still in the Ancient Age. If we declare war soon, we can kill them before they get their Elephants.
Delhi isn't far, though. Actually, it's right next to that city we took from Portugal.

so we ARE allowed to attack other cities and not just capital, or did I miss something?

We got that city in a peace deal, IIRC. I guess the Portuguese just suicided enough units on our Hoplites that they were willing to pay for peace.

Or if you're referring to the Indians, I meant that we'll stick to the rules and attack their capital. It's a bit of a walk to Delhi, though.

heh heh ya, maybe we should try naval invasion? (on Dephi, that is)

That would probably take longer. We'd have to loop all the way around Portuguese lands to the southwest. I estimate that they occupy a rather sizable peninsula.

I'm just building a galley in Delphi so we can send settlers up to that island in the northwest.

Just a reminder, Deceased Horse is up!

Nice gaming. I saw "The King" someday. I watched him long time wondering "who was he?" :lol:

kuningas...ur joking about "The King", right?

Cizzlewalk. I know Elvis, but I didn't recognize him on C3C. Sorry, if I somehow misundestood you.

just checking ;)

anyways...we did deceased horse go?

Preturn: We need workers. Delphi switched to worker. Mycenae switched to galley.
1) 30 AD: Oporto Hoplite->Harbor Delphi worker->worker capitol settler->settler Sicon and Gortyn founded. Both start workers. Notice Oporto is right next to the Indian capital-will be a nice forward base if we decide to attack the Indians by sea.
2) 50 AD: Thessolinka Library-worker. Kick Ghandi out of out lands.
3) 70 AD:WONDER CASCADE! Babylonians complete the Temple of Artemis, Americans complete the Great Lighthouse, the Zulu the Hanging Garderns. Knossos switched from courthouse to marketplace; it is first-ring and a courthouse is kind of pointless right now. Switch Corinth to the Great Library, mostly for denial purposes, can always be switched to Sun Tzu's. Delphi is producing workers from here on out.
4) 90 A.D. Knossos Hoplite->Barracks. Decide to begin colonizing the island to our west, as it has alot of bonus resources. Will be really corrupt until we build an FP (and even then) but we might as well get it before the AI does. Will send a couple settlers over there ASAP.
5.)110 AD Capitol Settler->Settler Mycenae Galley->Barracks Artesium Worker->library
6.)130 A.D. Thermopylae worker->Hoplite
7.)150 A.D. Kick Ghandi out again. Relationships drop to cautious. <sob>

if he got disconnected then the post would not have come through, I'm thinking he is finishing turns and/or doing homework :cringe:
