Humankind Game by Amplitude

yeah, way better ! so amazing the game continue to be upgraded.
The OpenDev on stadia is free and open to everyone (country which can access to stadia)
It's 100 turns with Nubia I think ? Surely on the same map than Babylonian ?
We have seen all affinities, and a lot of other things.

There is hints in the video about next cultures :p Modern city looks really cool. Do you see the little cars ?

I'm a little worried about the minimum specs: Intel i5 4th generation cpu. I have an i5 2500 (not overclocked). I usually play on small maps, against few AI opponents. I can't try the demo on Stadia, not available in my country. What you guys think, it could be enough? (my other specs: Full Hd and a gtx 1650).

The Avatar is the leader of your civilization. The Player profile... not so much. I'm assuming it's the same as a forum profile - where you store your badges, your items, etc. while the Avatar is the physical embodiment of that?

I don't know what decorations are to be honest

I do wonder how a bonus player Avatar is worth it when for the most of the time in the game you will be looking at AI Avatars.

A peek at the Unit & Tech Tree Poster:

Spoiler :

It is obvious that the entire tree on the picture is divided into 3 categories, judging by the 3 separate trees.

I assume that from above to below the 3 trees are for: Land Units, Naval Units, Air Units.

You can also roughly see the words "Land Units" and "Naval Units" on the white labels (marked by red arrows).

I'm seeing my own Avatar quite often, now that the UI is more fleshed out. I only look at the AI when I'm doing diplomacy, and right now the AI personality traits are more important to me and the UI currently has them cover up the Avatar lol

@Catoninetales_Amplitude I love this narrator's voice, but the way he pronounced "Zhou" left me in physical pain. I hope there can be some basic coaching of non-English words so we don't end up with the same situation as in Civ6 where Sean Bean says things like Kin Shi Huang (and countless other examples, but I disabled his narration for most of the game because it hurt to hear those mispronunciations, so I can't recall other examples atm)!

Stadia, being a streaming service, would not be a good benchmark anyway. Judging by my own experience on a six year old potato of a PC, you could probably run it on low settings, but it won't be the best, smoothest experience.

The narrator is, as far as I know, still placeholder. Hopefully the proper narrator will be less painful.

Thanks for the explanation! I would give the Stadia Beta a try later to see how it actually works.

Thank you, i hope the best!

Super excited for the demo!! Can't wait to get home and play it.

What I am most looking forward to is that this will be our first demo of the actual game, instead of just scenarios like the first open dev. So this should be more indicative of what a typical game will be like. I hope the demo is "feature complete", with all the main game systems like religion, diplomacy etc...

Cool. I think the narrator sounds really great otherwise, though! Just pronouncing Zhou like "zoo" when it should sound more like "Joe" hurt my soul.

It is still a scenario, but it seems to be much more indicative of the full game. I keep restarting so I can test out different mechanics (the tooltips/tutorial still aren't fully there), so I haven't gotten far enough in to be sure, but at least this seems to play like a real game to me.
