Husky-01

Good question though Mirc. If we were in a tighter game and expected to be at war against some big AI then commie could've been an option especially with our trait. It would have to be planned in advance of getting communism though because the workers would have mined more and courthouses in all cities that have big commerce and shield potential (even the non corrupt core) in communism.

No problem on playing tomorrow.

Lurker:

You were not wrong Mirc, tossing out ideas and getting feedback is what threads and especially SG's are suppose to be all about imo. I sure have tossed out a few stinkers and probably will continue to do it from time to time.

Some I call brainfarts or senior moments.

I had a nice turnset! Pretty lucky.

Pre-turn: changed a lot of useless entertainers to tax collectors or even citizens sometimes.
Turn 1: moving troops and workers.
Turn 2: transported cavalries and infantries from the core cities to the Japanese continent.
Turn 3: Discovered Mass Production. Next: Motorized Transportation :spear:
Turn 4: Declared war on Japan. Captured Matsuyama, Edo, and Suo.
Turn 5: They recapture Edo for less than one turn. I take it back, and conquer Nagoya and Kagoshima.

I was in a hurry and didn't move the workers for the next turn... Next player will have to do this instead of me.

Also the cities Osaka, Izumo, Hakodate and Yokohama should fall next turn without any problems. I have a SoD of Infantries and Artillery near Osaka, I have 6 cavs near Izumo, an army of cavs and a cav near Hakodate, and an army of cavs and a cav near Yokohama (should be enough, I don't think they have more than 2 Musketmen in each of those 2 cities).

To the next player: prove us that you are good and take out 4 Japanese cities in the first turn, then you will probably be able to finish them in your turn set, since they will have 2 cities left.
I don't remember, what victory are we going for? If we are going for something military then we should go for the Iroquois next, since they are close to our continent (if we approach them from our easternmost part), and they are arrogant enough to demand a tech from us saying that we exist because they want to.

Good luck!

Here is a pic of the Japanese front. I made some plans, but they are obvious.

Their is no point in making cavs in 1 shield towns, you can do that elsewhere. They should just go straight to specialist.

I don't see the save.

To the next player: prove us that you are good and take out 4 Japanese cities in the first turn.

I believe I can take out 5 on the first turn.:smug: :hammer:

but I agree with vmxa, where is the save?

Nice turn set, but I hope you are not on a two week vacation. ;)

We should time the next few turn sets so CH gets to make full use of a few tank armies.

Sorry, I forgot to upload the save.

Here it is.

BTW, try to make the war as short as possible, because we are suffering from war weariness a lot, most of our cities being in disorder.

Pre-Turn
lots of worker moves
switch some citizens to scientists
use some artillery to bombard Osaka

IBT- Japanese longbow kills one of our cavalry.lots of riots.

Turn 1 - 1480AD
all summed up by one picture.

and I renamed Kyoto to Frog Town.(turns out I couldnt take out 5 cities, annoying mountains... )

Turn 2 - 1485AD
Chukchi Huskyville submarine -> submarine.

Puerto de Lobos US -> stock exchange(prebuild for tank..:D ).
Another one bites the dust...

IBT-

-> Flight. :scan:

Turn 3 - 1490AD
Seville army -> army. off the mainland!

IBT-
Birdjaguar Hills JS Bach's -> tank.

Turn 4 - 1495AD
Chukchi Huskyville tank -> tank. Logrono university -> transport.

Turn 5 - 1500AD
load one of the cav armies in a transport, next destination: Japanese island.

Turn 6 - 1505AD
Load tanks into an army. Chukchi will have some fun.
And Japan is no more. The penalty of messing with Spain!:hammer:

No units, except some workers have been moved.

Subs? Do they have them in the game still? Do they have a purpose? How did we get lots of WW? I could see it in former Nippon towns, but those should have mostly specialist anyway.

We took our 20 or so turns of peace, we have luxs an other goodies, so how come? Anyway, why would you have inherited roits? We did do 20 turns did we not?

OK well that brings it back to me. I will develop a plan for the last remaining conquest. Chukchi you ready to wage a little battle?

Sorry everyone. I'll get on this today. Completely spaced out.

Pre turn: Hmm...who to fight next. We've got enough population to win the game but we need more land. Well what the heck we need silks I say. It's the Egyptians since we're giving the Iroquois wines and the Mongols will be to easy. Load a bunch of boats with armies, elites and artillery. Put a bunch of workers on automation. It's that point in the game where nothing we do will contribute to the economy.

1515 Get ready for attacks.
1520 Declare war on the the Egyptians.
1525 Bombard Ta Tu with 3 artillery pieces. They redline a pike and yellowline another. Attack Ta Tu with our MI army twice and take the pikes, finish with a cav army. Send that army at Almarkikh and take a pike. Send in a tank army and it finishes off the city. Settlers and workers are there. Settlers to fill in spaces and workers to disband in cities so I can rush harbor to get another lux. Not yet since the cities are in disorder.
1530 Take Alexandria and Almarikh. Establish Alocoron
1535 Put a couple airfields in for future bombers. Take Pi Ramses and Byblos.
1540 Take Memphis and Giza and El Amarna.
1545 Take Heliopolis and Thebes. Two cities left. It will be up to Chukchi to finish off someone. I'd think the Mongols.
1550 OK everything's ready for Chukchi to declare war on the Mongols.

Here's a map of the situation. There's artillery to bomb whatever's in the way, bombers to bomb what the arty can't reach, there's armies ready to take cities, elites are there for the potential of getting a MGL. Good luck Chukchi...bring home a winner kid!!
