Currently playing a naval superpower game as Carthage. Huge map, 20 civs, 10 city states, marathon, king, small continents.
So far I've conquered China, England, and the Zulu. I'm in the process of conquering Brazil would was threatening me with their culture (I'm about to enter the industrial era and wouldn't want to get that happiness penalty if they chose a different tenant).
While in the process of conquering Brazil I started to recieve my first denouncements for being a warmonger and Poland decided to declare war on me (the former Zulu nation is on their border). The next turn I got one of the notices "People with the pointiest sticks". Poland is currently #2 in military strength with some 3800 and I was #6 at some 2000. When the Polish troops started pouring into my border I thought, "Excellent, I've been waiting for a worthy challenger!"
I look forward to the war, the way I figure it more wars means more antiquity sites and I know my naval fleet will crush them long before they can make the long march to my homeland.
Anyone else enjoy a solid AI offense?
