I can't save the game when using a MOD.

If I am playing a normal single player game I can save just fine, but if I go to the MOD menu and want to play a MOD then only 2 options are there: Single player and MODS.

There are no load and save buttons, and after starting a single player game with a MOD the save and load buttons are also not there on the menu so I can't save the game!!!

Try to clear the cache: Delete everything in My Documents\My Games\Civ5\Cache.

From the menu on your screenshot, you'd choose "Browse Mods" to choose which mods will be active and you'd go back and choose "Single Player" to actually play by setting up a new game or loading a save. It's confusing that they use the phrase "Single Player" there rather than something like "Modded Single Player" but that's the process. Once you are actually playing, you will have save options from the in-game menu or by using ctrl-s.

Even after the game has started it the save/load buttons are missing. Not just on the screen on the screenshot, but on the in-game menu as well.

It was impossible to tell from your screenshot because the load option is on the menu *after* the one you pictured. Just making sure as I never assume a particular level of familiarity with the interface, especially interfaces as confusing as this one.

Screenshot of the next screen would be helpfull, the one that actualy shows the "Load Game" option.

List of mods used also. As some mods can break the UI, this could be a factor.
