You left out "can't stand elitist, over-competitive ladder players." They dominate the list of MP games and frequently won't play with people unless they've already played with them 100 times. The ladder ruined MP in Civ 3 and now they're doing it again.

Dont play because if you dont have your own "group" of players to play with then your screwed because almost all games have passwords on them and the ones that dont people are constanly coming and leaving from the game so it is sooooooooooo slow and really annoying and not the least bit of fun.
