I had this great idea

I realized I had asked to replace Mao Zedong in my original post. What I meant was that I'd like to replace his leader slot )=. If he's still available, I'd like Qin Shi Huang instead.

But if they're available in your mod, Duke of Britain, I'd prefer Taizong or Ming Taizu.

What am I doing in Africa, anyway? Shouldn't Mosher or Yoshi be my more immediate concern?

I'm more concerned about the fact that I became a vassal of Mosher. MOSHER?!? MOSHER?!?!? AAAAAAAAAAAAAH

Give me all your resources for one horse, mongrel!

What happened in the war?
After many years as the "sick man" of christianity Sparthage couldn't take it, he wasn't ready to the war, his economy was near collapse, his army was outdated and weakened, and his research wasn't progressing, you got his city at the bhosphorus (Ankara i think), while Tomorrow's got all his cities in Arabian peninsula, he lost most of his South African territory to rebels and etc (like Civ'ed got Luanda...). And the worse part for his once great empire : Baghdad (his capital and a awesome city) was taken by Inhotep, in the end Sparthage capitulated to Inhotep, otherwise he would lose even more :p
Now they're just a minor that is facing a non-ending rebellion in their remaining South African territories, that seek to reunite with HJ

His situation was much like OTL Ottoman Empire at the 19th century, interesting that even his civ is the Ottoman Empire...

yes, you're a minor in my game, and Mosher could've annexed you if he wanted, even Greece (they own the Japanese Islands + some colonies) could've do it easily. But don't worry, in the newest Scenario you have a better position :p

You're Qin Shi Huang in my scenario :D however here isn't Taizong or Ming Taizu in LoR, that's the mod i'm using
and you took the African territories against muslim Civ'ed (you and Sparthage were crusading here. both were Christians at the time, later Sparthage adopted Free Religion, what was his downfall in the end, because his relations broke)
You also got Arabian peninsula from Sparthage and also owns some colonies around Indonesia if i remember well, you're a major, but at early middle ages you was a minor with 3 cities when Mosher for example had 7
Mosher is way too strong to you to take whiout a big war, plus i would say you both have good relations, two christians majors after all. (all the old world Majors are Christians, SK is the only world major that isn't, Ilduce could beat anyone tough with his now massive millitary and if i remember he is also a christian, thanks to me, that sent missionaries to him some time ago, in the 1600')
and why would a major worry about one of the weakest civs in the game? (Yoshi, hope it is fixed in the updated scenario tough, this game i started back when Ilduce was still in Canada, for example...)

Saw a SK post in other thread, wonder if he'll tell us about the progress in the mod?

I don't think he is starting it yet.

I wouldn't have played that poorly. CURSE YOU, THE STUPID AI!

I wouldn't have played that poorly. CURSE YOU, THE STUPID AI!

Before gunpowder your civ was one of the most powerful and advanced ones, but then you started your decline after some time, this war just destroyed your civ. anyway, this shows how Free Religion sucks...you ended at war with your old allies, but the AI managed to destroy relations even more after it adopted Free Religion, so that just worsened. :p I also was thinking of jumping in and destroying your sea acess as first priority using my Royal Navy (My fleet is probably one of the biggests at the moment, i'm really building a large fleet, i also was the first to get drydocks, so yea :mischief: by the time i had astronomy until rifles i had around 8 frigates, 1 ship of the line and about 10 galleons, now i have many more, i'm expected to field after some time around 18 steam transport (forgot name), and more than 20 steam combat ships (forgot the name again, but these are the most advanced ships in the world so far)

EDIT :
11 Paddlesteamers (transports, 4 cargo capacity) and 16 ironclad cruisers so far, but i'm increasing it quickly, i could also use Athens to make more ships if i want.

EDIT 2 :
i took some screenshots to see the current situation of your nation (btw, ignore when the scoreboard says : "German Republic" i'm actually a constitutional monarchy, that's what the representation civic should actually be in the Dynamic Civ Names)

Here you can see the following :
-> Inhotep direct gains, he took Baghdad, Edirne and Warsaw
-> Red Spy gains, like i said before, Ankara
-> Tomorrow's Dawn gains, 3 cities in the Arabian peninsula, the other one was always ruled by Inhotep
-> The current situation of your country core remaining territories
-> the current situation of your remaining South African territories, that are for a long time fighting for their reunion with HJ

EDIT 3 :
Hum...
Spoiler :

civ4beyondsword20110530.jpg

You're lucky your core area was well-developed and had a big population and culture (well, idk about Warsaw, but Baghdad and Edirne were, i wouldn't expect your old capital to be as great as it once was.

EDIT 4 :
wow, so many things, well, after Inhotep gave you 3 core cities, you managed to actually break free of him, you're independent again now, i wonder if the AI will be smart to seek protection (alliances) with his neighbours now. (however he is annoyed towards me, and probably worse towards Red Spy, about Inhotep i wouldn't be so sure because of some recent events, like he giving you back 3 cities!)

You should change your BUG scoreboard options so that it displays the Leader/Civ Description.

AND WHY AM I STILL VASSALED TO MOSHER? AND WHY DO I HAVE THE LOWEST SCORE IN THE GAME?

AND WHY AM I STILL VASSALED TO MOSHER? AND WHY DO I HAVE THE LOWEST SCORE IN THE GAME?

Because you're weak and your capital is a city in tasmania...your only good city is Java, your only hope is Mosher giving some Mongolian cities to you (he's invading them now, guess he really wants Indonesia...)
You're not like Sparthage that managed to get independence again because he could. even if you tried to become independent Mosher millitary would destroy you in seconds :p
anyway, it's worth noting that the Native Americans are quite stable rebels now, they rebelled from the Vikings, and managed to survive so far, i think they have 2 cities in Scandinavia, the old Viking capital (Stockholm) and another city near Finland...so it's quite impressive because last time i saw a Russia stack in Scandinavia...it wasn't small...

I have the highest score in the world!

Yea, but suffered a rebellion some time ago...i guess my nation is the only somewhat stable one, but unhealthness is killing that!

anyway, i think i will nerf Russia, i want a strong Russia and all, but maybe i should take the bonus resource (wheat) i gave to Moscow.
Oh, btw, ironic how Statue of Liberty was built in Moscow...

EDIT : Yoshi, have you tried the updated scenario? here you start at the philippines, i think the position is good enough now.

I'm downloading LoR onto my computer now, can't wait to play this and obliterate Yoshi.

Organizing an MP game with this scenario during the summer would be awesome :D

...

...

Then I wouldn't allow my AI to be owned by Mosher :D

Sadly, unless someone makes a version using the E18 Map, (no mods, just vanilla BTS) I can't do it.

Edit: Nevermind, Russia will fail with me in charge.

No, you're AI won't...

...But you will! :mwaha:

Never! I shall beeline Astronomy and sail away to Canada where I will steal all of SouthernKing's land! Then you shall not get me! Muahahahaha!

(Hmm...staying up super late finishing homework due the next day sure makes you go craaaaazy :crazyeye:)

The American Nations usually are very powerful and big...i wonder how you would make a invasion whiout a massive production :p
but yea, when can we have a multiplayer game? :D

I would rather try to do a complete rebalance first.
Africa is just to busy for the amount of resources it has while the resources for Rome, France and Spain are normally under only one persons control.

The problem with Africa is how it is crowded, even if i tried to improve some cities positions, i can't afford for example adding a resource in Durban because it already has a lot of resources.

Somenoe must try the latest scenario tough.
