I am absolutely livid with EB games, over the last couple of days ive gotten the run around soooo many times from them, and it turns out when my copy of Civ IV did finally come in today they gave it away to some other person. On top of that when i called them they tried to lie and say that the release date was pushed back. The reason I know that they gave it away to someone else is that i was the only person that had gotten a pre-order from that store. Im sorry but I will never shop at EB games again because of this, and now ive wasted alot of time trying to deal with those people at the store.

I just really wanted to get that out cause im not a happy person right now and everyone i talk to doesnt really care, i think my girl friend might even be alittle happy about it lol, you guys understand though right?

EB games in Bellingham WA has it. Just hop in the car drive south of the border and pick up a copy!!!

I'm sure there is an explaination for the mix up with your EBGames store. From my dealings and countless others, they seem to be pretty good about customer relations.

Huh? Oh sorry... Didn;t hear you. I was busy playing my new copy of Civ 4. Haha. Ah man I'm sorry that sucks so bad. EB Games is terrible with crap like that. I've never pre-ordered a game before, I'm curious why you did. There's plenty copies of Civ to go around. I went to best Buy and picked up a copy right among the other twenty sitting out.

Hope you get to play soon, though. Until then, rest assured, I'll be playing enough for the both of us.

I wouldn't have left the store if I was you. I'd have stayed and screamed and yelled until they a) gave you a copy of b) promised you could have it free as soon as they got another one.

And then I'd have complained to the company via email that store X has a bunch of idiots running it, and asked what they were going to do about it.

thing that gets me is that today i was in there at 12 to see if they had it, they said that they had not recieved it yet and that it should be there late afternoon if not tommorow.; so i call around 2 to see if they had received it, they did but they only received one copy? i was like what the hell? and they were like ya and we have one pre-order for this adam guy, so i was all like ya thats me and they were all no it isnt he already came and got it thats why im pissed

I was calling around to
day, and most shops were saying they didn't get enough copies to cover their preorders. Good luck hunting down another copy -- I guess shipping coverage is a little spotty right now, but it can't hurt to call around.

Then I found a GameStop with ONE extra copy... and the guy said he'd received a ton of calls about it. When lunchtime finally came around, I decided it would be worse to call, them say they have it, and it be gone when I got there than to just drive over and check and not have my hopes up. I'll be darned, they still had it. The employee was as shocked as I that no one had beat me in to buy it.

And a pre-order version, to boot. Okay, it had the French poster...

thats weird that that happend with the french tech tree poster, i thought up here they just shipped two copies of everything so it seems that they would have had an english poster with the french one :S ah but what do i know lol

Ya that sux Im kinda in the same boat. im in Prince George and there are 2 EB's here I have been to EB about 7 times in the past 2 days cause they keep telling me that it's in and to come at such and such a time when I get there they tell me to come back in an hour etc etc then on the last trip yesterday and today they tell me it's not going to be in till tommorow Im right pissed with EB and I dont think im going to shop there again either. They also tried to sell me on the it's been pushed back thing to wich I told them wasnt true then they started telling me that the reason it's late is cause of shipping problems then they told me that they dont know why it's not here it's just been a reall experice to say the least I nearly poped a vein in my head when after all that running around they say oh no we dont have it. and I was like YOU JUST TOLD ME ON THE PHONE YOU DID ya im not having a good past 2 days. it better be here tommorow
