i need serious help because i suck bad part 2

Don't waste turns on the roads on flat land. Far more important to get the tiles improved sooner. Isn't a road 1 turn on quick? If so, I would build roads on some hills if they will be useful.

If you need the health from the cows, build a road. But pasture the cows first. 1 wasted turn on building the roads is not as big as 1 wasted turn not having the cows improved.

Nice land. After getting to size 3 or 4, build a settler and take than next beautiful flood plain site to the NE. BW is far more important than the wheel. With no horses in sight, you need to see if there is copper.

ok done. now im in the process of building a settler as you can see and need to know what to research next.

ok. i dont know whether to build a cottage or a farm on a 3 food 1 gold title. which one?

Cottaging the capital is definitely a good option. Cottage all the FP and the 2 grassland. This gives you 8 surplus food, enough to also work 4 mines. City 2 I would put 5n, 1w of capital, getting both cows. If you find copper though, that will be more of a priority.

okay the worker is finally built and i already researched pottery.
right now i am researching the wheel but that can be changed if needed. Now the question is what to do with my worker. my city is currently working the square where the cows are so should i build a pasture with him then build a road to connect the resource with my capital?

How do u have pottery wothout the wheel?

Being financial, I would definitely go with the cottages, but it is ok to keep a farm if you built it. You can make it a cottage later. It can be nice to have a tile with a different amount of food than normal ... most of your cottages will have 3 food, and by keeping 1 flood plain farmed, you have the option of using it along with mines to keep growth stagnant at the happy cap. This is a very productive capital site, and after the settler, you will want to grow as quickly as your worker can improve tiles up to the happy cap. You will also want another worker pretty soon. A third worker from the new city is also a good idea. Get a couple flood plains farmed fairly quickly in the new city so it can grow fast and then build a worker fast. Once you mine the plains hill in the new city, it can build a monument very quickly so it can use the cows. You will probably want mysticism after BW so the new city can get some culture.

Now where shall I move my settler if at all and what should I do with the scout?

You managed step one "Identify the questions that need to be addressed". But if you really want to improve quickly, you'll do a lot better by (a) providing your own answer, and (b) showing your work (ie, the reasons you think that's the right answer).

There are two reasons for this. One, it gives your readers the information they need to think along with you, and help discover errors in your assumptions. Two, it demonstrates that you are willing to make an investment to learn (which will get you a larger audience).

yeah i messed up i didnt have pottery

here is an update of where i am at. Am i doing good so far.

Just a tip from one sucky player to another :P
Turning off the recommendations on workers and settlers helped me quite a bit. Might not help you but worth trying.

You are doing fine. Hook up that iron, claim that copper (take the site on the hill that is right next to copper and corn). You need another worker or 2. You need to get some mines built in the capital. Once the iron is up, and maybe another worker, you can start building some military in the capital.

This looks much better than the other games I have seen from you here Jake.

Also, since you are more or less following our advice as you play this game, make sure you ask a question if you don't know why you are doing something. Playing a game like this in detail is a good way for us to help you improve.

update
still haven't built a library in my capital should i do so now or go with another settler first. the iron has been connected.

You've let your capital grow to unhappiness. I've seen this in your other games too ... unless you plan to whip very soon, or will have a higher happy cap soon, this is not good.

Try going into Options and select "detailed city screens". This way, without going into the City Screen, you can see how many more turns to a population increases and how many turns till the current unit being built is done. I believe this also enables the hammer, flask, and gold icons, which appear next to the cities with the most production, research, and gold respectively.

Looking at the map, I see you have Compass and no real production. The Compass seems like a waster, since Scouts do fine till Optics. Whatever.
The latter concern is the bigger one. Try building Mines all around Susa to boost production there. Also, tech to Metal Casting and build Workshops and Forges. These will dramatically increase production. As soon as the Axe you are building in the capital reaches 1 turn, whip! This will reduce the time the next Axe takes. Keep doing this. Whip 6-10 Axes with City Raider promotions and attack Izzy.
