Danny: When you lose a game, the computer says so to you. Easier to win there.
Godzilla: How much of an impact did e.g. the Aztecs have on the world? Sure, you hear a bit more about them, but did they do anything for European or African culture? Not that I heard of. The aztecs are interesting because they left behind treasure and they held thousands of human sacrifices. Then you can discuss whether it is redundant to include Egypt, Greece, Babylon and Rome all together. Or why the Americans are in the game, cause they sure as heck never existed in any of the B.C times.
P.S I lived in South Africa for 5 years. Don't try to tell me about the tribes there. If you hate them for not having an impact on your personal sphere of existence, that is
A: Racism
B: White men's fault, because we never studied their culture enough.
I have several books of Xhosa and other Fireside Tales. These are equal to european fairy stories. Having a very large amount of history and myth, although oral, fairly well defines a culture. Rather than let this thread become a discussion of what "(a) culture" is, (after I almost made it a personal argument) I am leaving this thread. Whining about your losses is fairly pathetic. I got wiped out on turn 12 once by the AI's umpteen starting units on Deity. Conquest loss. I stayed there and resolved to win in a later game, most of this thread is those who refuse to go to a lower level and cannot win on the current level, and whine instead.
Goodbye.
