translation: I need help. Would anyone please assist me?

so like i have this game right now that is regent/huge/blah blah blah. it is 1655 ad and i have 3099 points. is that good? england is next at 1430. i am in war production and am 1 turn from combustion. i just have to culturally assimulate 2 more of india's (hey they started it) towns then i can go back to building happiness until i get panzers. after that its the cycle of war production / blitz / switch towns to build happiness / war production / blitz / switch towns to build happiness etc. until they're ALL DEAD BWA AHAHAHA AH AG AGHAA HA . . . uh until england and egypt (the other two cultural leaders) are the only ones left. that is my plan anyway.

if anyone wants to look at my last save and give me help (disband all my cities, go back to quake, etc) or make fun of me then you know how to do that. thank you. er i mean k thx plz ^_^ keke~~@

In other forums I'm usually happy to look at .sav's for players, and of course there's always ideas and advice here in the HOF threads. However, analyzing the actual .sav of an HOF attempt-in-progress is not something I would feel comfortable doing...

i agree with super that analysing an specific .sav of an HOF attempt in progress is not an good idea. However some general comments are possible. Not having played regent i can't tell you absolutely if your score is an good one but i would suspect it isn't as good as it could be. But much depends on what victory condition you are attempting to achieve. If histographic is your goal you probably should be at your domination limit by this stage in the game. By the sounds of it you aren't. The other conditions score best if done quickly and since you are past the half point of the game your bonus points will be shrinking fast. Of course with the expanded HOF pretty much any legit submission can find some niche on the board. But no doubt you want some staying power. I have learned some much just from reading the threads in progress on the forum, notably SirPleb's and Moonsinger's deity attempts. My best advice would be to read those threads to gain insight on how best to conquer the world. perhaps instead of us trying to anaylse your sav. download the sav files of HOF games that have made the board and analyse those yourself and see if you can get into the player's mindset as he/ she progressed. I did that with Bremp's Chieftain score of 9200+ It was quite enlighting and showed me how much further my game needed to go to be competitive. But it also gave me ideas of how i might do that too. Best of luck!!

Me too...

IMHO a HoF game is a game that one player plays without detailed advice on specific game situations from other players.

sure sure, makes sense. i havent run mapstats in a while, i will do that when i get home and see how many tiles i am from domination limit. fortunately i have a lot of populous cities right now and i hope that the 2 countries that i am planning on blitzing with the panzers will put me at or over limit.

i have done a good job with happiness so i am at least pleased with the game so far. i have built all the wonders i have needed to succeed while keeping my culture suppressed pretty well. one thing that sucked is that the japanese built bach's on the other side of the world 2 turns before mine was finished. and i had a great leader at the time too. so i amassed some cavalry, used rights of passage to travel across the world, and snuck up on japan. i signed a mutual protection pact with a neighbor, declared on japan, took over the town that bachs was in and rush built forbidden palace making it impossible for bachs to culture flip ...

pwnd. all ur wondrs r belong 2 me!!

your city with the forbidden palace can still flip. only your capital with the palace cannot flip.

are you 100% positive about that takeo? i had a game a long time ago that was continents. england had as good or better cultuer than us and was on a different continent. i invaded and rush built forgotten palace. the forgotten er ... forbidden palace was practically the only town that didn't flip at least once. the towns that were flipping had temples and cathedrals too.

thx!

i don't have any personal experiance with this, i only have read it in the strategy forum several different times.
