Does anyone know how I can get the music thats in CIV 3. I especially want the Industrial Age music that has Flute and what sounds like some String Instrument.

There's a music directory that has the files there. I'm pretty sure that it's in mp3 format.

I prefer the Ancient Age music myself, but, yeah, you can play it directly from the game files. :)

I collected 97 MB of mp3's from there to my music library :)
Many of my favorites is in the middle ages.

5/5 stars:
IndECFull.mp3 (IndModern European)
DipEuLatePeace.mp3
MidMEFull.mp3 (Middle Ages Mid East)

4 stars:
MidORFull.mp3 (Middle Ages Asian)
MidECFull.mp3 (Middle Ages European)
MidGRFull.mp3 (Middle Ages Mediterranean)
DipECEarlyPeace.mp3
AncECfull.mp3 (Ancient European)
IndORFull.mp3 (IndModern Asian)
DipASEarlyPeace.mp3
DipASLatePeace-2.mp3

I hate IndGRFull.mp3 (IndModern Mediterranean) and most of the Diplo war tunes.

Music for the Middle Ages isn't too bad, it just doesn't fit the atmosphere of the game.

I always have the music turned off, I like to listen to my winamp while playing.

I don't really like the music that I have heard so far playing the game. Is there a way to insert your own tunes? The sound effects aren't too bad though.

As you can see, there's some pretty esoteric names there. You can either find the one you want to replace, and copy/rename the new track over, or you can run a program like WinAmp or Windows Media Player in the background.

WinAmp or WMP would probably be easier.

Well yeah, that's what I meant. Of course there are better songs out there, I never listen to Civ music outside of the game itself and twice the past few days because you fellows caused me to get interested in it. But I love looking 'round my empire in the Modern Age, with SmashFull on, looking at what I've accomplished, how it's changed from one small village into a grand nation.

Has anyone noticed many songs from the conquests are not in the regular 540turn epic music cataloge? Example Im enjoying Mesoamerica soundtrack right now. They even laced a track for the human sacrificing, hearin all those ceramonial chants and rythmic drums adds to the magic of it all. Some of these tracks are better then what's composed in the bigger epics

Heres my question How do I tranfer those dope beats to my ancient age on another mods soundrack. Im playin a 915 turn Rise n Rule epic. It suffers from soundtrack repetativeness at the moment. I want to kick in some more "flavour" Please Help

So when I copy it over to Rise N Rule I repeat the same structure. so that would be Fireaxis Games\Civ3 complete \conquests\sceanarios\RAR\Sounds
And since Rise n Rule dosn't have a sounds folder I
1. copy the original Conquests sounds folder
2. place the original conquest file in the mod file like I mentioned
3. copy the mesoamerica tracks into the duplicate conquest sounds file in RAR

Thanks for you help I hope I get it working

That's right, except that you wouldn't need to copy the original Conquests tracks into your duplicate folder. Just put any "new" tunes in there, such as the Mesoamerica tracks. Don't forget the music.txt file too, as that's where you tell it what you want it to play, and in what order.
