Actually I loaded initial save and settled capital on silver there.

Nice starting location (and 1,000 :c5gold: to boot)!

I always move the warrior before settling to avoid reloading the initial save.

A wonderous start start with Isabella? Oh my... :D

What difficulty? I only play deity
What does that have to do with anything? This start could be any difficulty level and would have the same outcome on turn 1.

It matters. It seems like an awesome start but I don't feel like playing it if it's too easy or too hard for me personally :p

It says 8 on the second screenshot though, that's diety am I right?

Well I found them on turn 1, not turn 0. and original starting location looked fine. (4 lux, hill, coastal. no rivers though...)

And yes, it's deity. but it won't feel like deity...

Wow...if I had that start, I'd buy an immediate settler and send him to settle where the Reef is in the radius so the extra science could REALLY help during early game when extra science is hard to come by. Or you could buy a bunch of scouts and have them find some more Natural Wonders. Or could could save until you learned a new tech and rush a city improvement.

Just an awesome start.

I think that this is going to be my first diety game where I won't quit before the rennaisance era :)

What would you guys do with this start?

I think I'm going to move my capital on the silver, rush a scout and probably a settler for a nice second city.

You can't buy a settler immediately, you have to wait till capital grow to 2. That's why I loaded back and settled capital on silver to work barrier reefs.

Actually this speeds up early development and you can build early wonders like AI. I mean TGL before T30 or HG before T45, if you want to.

Thanks, this is awesome! Pick the 'one with nature' pantheon to get +16 faith per turn from two tiles!

You would be spain, wouldnt you.

I've had a friend play as spain and start near cerro de potsai, which was also near a ton of water resources. That city made like 200 gpt.

I tried it and kept up with the rest of the Civs. Except gaio who now has the bulk of the continent, is my good friend and has atomic bombs parked in his city closest to my borders. In 1810. At least he is a good Christian, I've made sure of that. The rest of us are wielding infantry and primitive tanks.

Lizzie almost got the jump on me, though I knew I had to be ready for it. Later on she took down Sevilles defenses, and the CS took and raised Seville :).

I got back in the game rebuilding Seville then taking the CS, but I couldn't do it before Arty. Keeping Lizzie at bay has been pretty casual since then, but I can't win the game I'm sure.

Nice. I'm sure some people would just quit at that point, arguing that it'd make that game too easy, but I'd stick at it on Immortal, or even Emperor, let alone Deity. The only complaint I'd have is the lack of production, but otherwise it's a cracking start.

Settled 4 cities
1. Madrid on the Silver north west of the starting point
2. Barcelona on the Silver south to get barrier reef
3. North on a jungle getting 2 whales and truffles (later I discovered I settled on Uranium)
4. South on the Furs tile getting fish (not to antoganize Askia or get more targets for Liz)

Liz periodically was attacking me. Otherwise, peaceful

Space Win 237

Great Start.

Domination Win 219.
Identical start, but after Education, beeline Dynamite. With 2 rounds of 2 RAs each hit Dynamite.

First War. Trebuchet + Longswords
Second War. Canon + Muskets
Third and Fourth war. Arty + Rifles/Infantry
Last Two Wars. Great War Bombers + whatever

Won the war with 1 turn away from Bombers.

This is the quickest Deity win for me so far (not counting Mongols and England)

Though it did took me much longer in real world time to do Domination victory. Space Victory is easier on my time, though takes a few more turns in game time

Cultural is next
