this is my 5th(?) emperor game and im the celts ive only won 2 emperor games and i want to win this BADLY!

Ive distroyed america thus taking control of my island but now im behind in techs and im contemplating which way i should win. i was gonna go for the 20K but thats out and i dont want to quit... help please!

Coolio,why are you building marketplaces and libraries in 3 size towns?
All those towns need to grow to cities.
Make more contacts and do some smart trading,maybe the U.N.
can save you.

Your research power is probably weak right now after a war with the Americans. So probably make many workers and the FP up north. Then focus on marketplaces to buy techs from the second most advanced civ. That way you can eventually catch up to the Hittites and the brown civ. By then your markets and libraries should be done so that you can start to research with them up the tree.

Or just give up now.

well there was no early river near my core so right now im making an irrigation line to there. and i already have military tradition. and right after i irrigate my core, cavalry will be mass produced.

defidently! well at the moment im building cavalry in almost all my cities. i have about 15 at the moment, i think once i hit 50 im gonna invade russia

I did look at the game and have to make some comments.

- using Wealth without Economics
Irrigating and using taxmen will give you more gold.

- building colosseums instead of cathedrals.
The Celts are religious.

- why isn't Richborough growing?

- building libraries and marketplaces in towns won't
give you any benefits.They need to grow.

- I see too many clowns in your empire.

- trade more,luxuries,techs.

I haven't looked at the save but communism is almost always the answer...well at least in Civ III

Coolio- I got the save to work, and this is a great game, very fun to play. Sure, there are a few (ok, a lot) of MM errors, but that's fine. First thing I did was trade for 3 luxuries, educaton, and astronomy, costing me a total of about 140 gpt. Then, I changed from Colosuems to cathedrals and rushed them, then started building cavalry and boats. Here is what will soon arrive at Russia front door. I plan to take one city and use it as a base for leader fishing. A cav army can take out a rifle in a city easily enough.

why isn't Richborough growing?

well alot of my cities arnt growing because theirs basically one river on the whole island and its up north so i had to set up an irrigation line to the south and i did. so now my core cities are growing and im working on a line to the southeast corner.

oh this is grand! inca declaired war on the russians! i think i military alliance will be comming soon. but one thing puzzled me.... celtic swordsmen upgrade to medival infantry for 0 gold?!? cool.i upgrade all 8(?) i have left for free.
now i have maybe 25 cavalry and 8 medival inf, and with inca backing me i think once i have the ships to transport them ill attack.

Gallics are 40 sheilds, MDIs are 40 sheilds... No money required to upgrade.

i was really angry about it at first so i tried to culture flip it but it never worked out i dont really care though. I dont know much about the hittites and a war with them would be senseless.
