this is very interesting already. In all the years (since 1966 I think)I've had to face the Austrian, I cannot remember ever meeting 7.Bb5+ although it is a perfectly playable move.

the normal move is Bd3 and after black captures the c-pawn play Qe2 and Be3 to drive the queen away. If all that seems a bit slow for your taste then you can leave the black c-pawn and play Bb5+ at move 6.; that can get quite fierce!

It's not a real problem. I sometimes have to play through the moves because I'm not keeping records of thse games. But at the moment I can mostly remember what is happening anyway. (My biggest problem is turning the board round between yours and AVN's moves

Sorry to be off so long. Life is very complicated this year. I should be able to play more regularly now. I no longer have easy access to my board and so I'm playing the game through chessbase light. I think I'll do that with all the games for a while. so no need to list moves each time, just enough to confirm the context.
