Yeah I got it successfully. Played my turn just now. It was easier to work out with sobriety, than it was 8 hours ago, coming off an all-day bender.

I'm glad you were too drunk to play, because otherwise I had played drunk too.

I just played the turn and sent it to Cheetah.

Actually i forgot to check when it was my turn, what is the game speed? Just standard?

If this is going to go more than 24 hours per turn, then We'll be at this a while.

It's normal speed. The map is large though (not standard).

Tech trading/brokering and vassals are OFF.

Barbs, huts and events are ON.

All victory conditions are enabled. It's going to be difficult to win a diplo victory though (although UN/AP resolutions may prove useful), without vassals allowed. It's also a way for everyone to resign en masse if the winner becomes obvious.

EDIT: It's looking like it will be 36-48 hours per turn. Having players in Europe, Oz and the USA means it's impossible for everyone to play at the same time really.

Cheetah is the only one left to take the first turn looks like.

Really sorry for taking so much time with this. I had to manually uninstall a half-installed Civ4/BTS installation and be present at a family Sunday dinner during said process.

But now everything is up and running, so will go faster next time.

Note: unfortunately, you don't see any battle animations that happen in between turns, so it's worth checking the combat log if you see mysteriously vanishing barbs or take damage.

Do you want us to keep posting in this thread for every turn (my post count will sky rocket by the end of the game ) or shall we just post if it's been a long wait?

Up to you really. If it goes smoothly, there's not much to post unless you nab a wonder, a religion or somesuch, or spot lions/panthers/bears etc.

If it starts dragging, I'll start nagging
