And it is actually kinda nice to know where the save is, so I like when people post that they've played and passed it on. Gives me some idea of when I can expect to receive the save myself.

So how does people like their starting locations? Personally, I could be happier.

I'm happy, but I moved my settler on the first turn and didn't settle until turn 2.

Not really happy with mine. It has a couple good features. But I don't like starting inland.

I've never moved the settler more than one place on start. Always been affraid to. How does that work out?

I wanted to be on the coast and grab a few more flood plains

Each turn you spend moving the initial settler is a turn your empire is delayed...

My starting location was in the middle of things, but there were no obvious better locations to move to, and spending several turns wandering aimlessly around is ungood. But I'll survive I guess.

I always keep my settler where he is unless it's a tile away from the coast, in which case I go coastal because 1 tile from the coast is stupid

Well this is eventful playing. I've established that I live somewhere oop north, and, well, that's about it.
