I've been working on this for 2 days now and I'm stumped. I had Jay's Corsican mod installed along with my own and some really bizarre things would happen.
First off, we both followed Kael's guide to the letter so we ended up with icon files named the same.
I did notice a mistake I made in that instead of resizing the whole template with the icon, I just resized the icon and pasted it into the corresponding template.
I made my icon as a rectangular flag. It showed up overtop of the circles so I left it to edit the icons later.
The bizarre results:
On the Civilopedia screen for my civ, I got a square box with 4 icons in it.
With both mods activated, my icon showed up for both civs.
When I removed the Corsican mod, my icons wouldn't show at all. I just saw a black background.
When I removed my mod, the Corsican icons showed as normal and the scroll bar in the basic civ select window returned. My guess is that my badly-sized icons are causing the scroll bar to dissappear.
So my question is, can someone post a quick little, step-by-step turorial about how to create an icon?
