I'd like to start a new game. Looking for others to lurk with me and join the same new game at an agreed time. I'm thinking Wednesday at 7 pm Pacific time. Any others interested?

I'm not a very competitive player, so looking for others who are beginner-type-adults.

Yea it would be cool if there were worlds for people who understand the game already. :(
Really wish I could be in a civ where people actually chat in the civ chat or something, not where I get to the 4th horizontal Science row and seeing only 3 people actually going for a new science thing after 1 is finished, in a civ with members maxed.

Our group is people who are pretty expert and play hard. I'd suggest you make a separate group.

The way to achieve that is by forming up a group to join a new game together. I know the rules now, and have moved to the level of forming strategies. If you'd like to join with me and others, you'd be welcome.

When you finish a game do you get to choose which new game you can play?

I'm currently in two games and I def joined one of them, but I don't remember joining the other one and I can't get out of it.

I hope when both these games finish I'm not automatically put into 2 new games!

You don't get to choose at all. The game servers put you into a new random one. The _ONLY_ way to get together is through invites or pure luck (both your games end at the same time).

Not true. Notice in the game lobby, the second row is your available games. If you're like me, they're all locked off right now. But when you're no longer playing your max allowance of games, you'll see three games to choose from. It will list the identifying number, the game year, and the number of players.

You simply talk to the people you want to play with, and pick a number that'll be coming up soon. When that number pops up, you each join the game.

Remember to *not* all join a civ right away - if you join the game at different times, and each join a civ as soon as you join the game, then the civ will fill up before the later players can get in.

This isn't actually correct. If you are in only one game, and you don't join a second before it ends, then you get banged into a random game. Otherwise, you have a choice of 3 games, and it appears to always give you games your friends are in, if you have friends playing.

When I join a new game, I quickly move to about #30 in ranking, then slowly to top 20. Top 10 is group cooperates. Would you want to work with me?

I have set up 2 "blackboards" for people to get together, in this forum. They're named "looking for hookup in existing game" and "available for new hookup in new game".

I wasn't given a choice of games to join when I first started playing a few days ago. When i go to the screen that shows that 2nd row, all 3 of them are locked even though I'm only in 1 game atm.
