Idea: Militia Unit

What if there is a militia unit that is only one health and can't advance past one health.

It changes with age.

Ancient: 1.1.1 (Picture of half naked guy holding big rock over his head)

Middle Ages: 2.2.1 (Picture of a guy in robes with a club)

Industrial: 3.2.1 (Picture of a guy in overalls carrying a double barreld shot gun)

Modern: 4.3.2 (i figure people will own cars by then) (Picture of guy wearing a t-shirt with jeans carrying a desert eagle mark XII.)

I would like to make a mod like this but i do not know yet if it is possible to make a unit with only 1 health.

This unit cannot be built.
It appears under certain conditions:
1.) 1 unit per turn for ever turn your city is celebrating your leadership
2.) 1 unit per turn, but on barbarian side, for every turn city is in revolt ( it just appears on random square within your city borders)

Whenever a new age comes, all the militia units that are owned by you automatically upgrades to that age's militia unit.

Whenever you attack a militia, there is a 75% chance of killing it and 25% chance of capturing it as a worker.

I do not know of all of the above is possible. But if it is, i would like to learn how and create a unit like this.

Militia canot capture cities, units, or pilliage. It can only run around killing other units.
 
More realistic:


Industrial : 3.2.1 ( gun in overalls carrying a shovell )
Modern: 4.3.2 ( gun wearing baseball cap leaningo out of a truck window with a double barreld shot gun.)
 
What happened to the Partisans of civ2? There should be Partisans along with rebel citizens... and the Partisans should not be tech development, they should always exist and be greater the more the disparity between the cultures of the defender and attacker.

So if Germany takes a Greek city and the Greek culture is 1.5X the German culture rating, the Greeks should get city pop /2 X 1.5

So a big city of 12 would be 9 partisans scattered in adjoining squares. The stats should be the same as the current best infantry unit for the Civ (Spear -> Pike -> Musket -> Rifle -> Infantry) with Conscript HP (2).
 
You can use the editor to make units with only 1 hit point, but then all the units at the same experience level would have only 1 hit point. Also, I don't think it's possible to make units that never gain experience, so you probably couldn't keep them at one hit point. As far as I know, any ground unit with an attack rating can capture a city or unit.


Finally, the militia idea isn't much different from the Conscription concept in the game. Considering conscripted units only start with two hit points and are practically useless (well, in my experience anyways), a one hit point unit would be even less effective. If it were free and required no support, that would be different I guess. Just my two cents.
