I know Firaxis does not want to release an update that invalidates saves. But, if you have to please release it as a mini-free DLC. Also have plenty of warnings "If you download this DLC you will invalidate all your save files."
Reason?
I cannot now turn off auto updating in Steam (why Steam?). The scream from around the world if you ever released an update that would automatically be downloaded and invalidate the saves of thousands of people who have put hours and hours into a game, only to have their work destroyed, may cause the Sun to go nova. You wouldn't want that!
