If I made a 'paper doll'.....

If Wyrm posted his Infantry animations, would I use them to make units?

If I uploaded my infantry files, who among you Bryce users would use it to make GOOD units with?
If I would take the time to do it, it would be around a 30 meg file, have all the animations for a basic unit plus plenty of parts.
I would NOT make a tutorial on how to use it, competent Bryce users should figure things out quickly.
I am very apprehensive in doing this because as most of you know, I don't like to share my stuff. When I do, poeple tend to dissapear with it. Atleast this way it's more anonymous. I only have to share it once and be done with it.

Good Idea?

It's a public poll.. I want to know who would use my stuff.

Are there really that many Bryce creators around though? Apart from me and Ogedei, who create static gfx, there is TopGun, but are there any more?

Wyrm, were you reading my mind? I was already thinking about how I would have to build my own. But with your "paperdoll", I could start walking sooner.

So my answer is: Hell yeah, I would use it!

I use Bryce and given the head start of a paperdoll set would love to do this (in particular to add on to the sets you've just created) - but I'd be a little slow in producing units as I want to keep working on leaderheads as well and unfortunately RL - and a couple hard drive crashes - have cramped my time and productivity recently.

I think any unit animations are useful and could be applied with success not only in Bryce. :)

You've never used Bryce have you? You can't export movement, only objects.

You can export any nonprimative from bryce. So any object file that I've imported into the program, you can export, but if it has any image mapping, it will be lost.

I have heard of bryce, it sounds like a great program. I would also love to learn to make units
If i can find a free demo or something, then yes, I will use these "paper dolls"

protip: Poeple that have never used Bryce should not think of it in POSER terms. It doesnt work that way.

There is no naked, there are no 'poses' to import. There are no 'clothes'. Only objects that you can link to other objects that are already moving. That is why I put 'paper doll' in quotes, because it is similar to but not the same as the Poser Paper Doll that is already on the forums. And already some of these questions are giving me a headache.

If you dont have Bryce or no idea how to use it, move along. Nothing for you here.
