Got the will, got the experience, got too much damage. I will find another capacity in which to serve my country.

I'm not going to enlist.

I'm going to Canada.

Cooler heads must prevail! There is a difference between justice and kill the b****** bloodlust.

Again, I'm being kind.

Don't come back, who the f*ck needs you?

So many of us dead, and you want to save your ass.

Don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out.

People like that make me sick to me Stomache, Seriously. Something like this happens and they expect others to save them, or in his case he runs to somewhere "Safe". Me? I Enlisted to get my revenge and to Help pansies like you.

Forget him, Moth.

Do what you have to do.

Yea, I guess your right. I was just doing the math, and i figured out that Each soldier in the United States Army, Defends 138 People. That is if there are 250 million Americans And 1.8 million Service men and weman.

You are a P U S S Y ! ! ! Before you leave, why don't you tell your grandfather to fu*k off & kick him in the balls, you piece of sh*t. I hope you rot in hell.

I'm touched by your politeness.

I am afraid. Going to Canada will not save my life if theis ends up in nuclear war as it CERTAINLY could.

I do not believe any more people should die. I am not confident I would escape the military in this war-mad country, and my loyalty to America is not as strong as my belief that it is amoral to kill.

I wish the terrorists had parachutes so they could survive their terrible action. I believe that although they committed the most awful thing imaginable, it would be better if those 19 people had not died.

I awate the lynch mob.

DAH!! ERIK Shut your Face, i dont see how this could turn Nuclear, Ever. the Leader of the free world will not Unleash something so uncivilized just to take out a couple of cells of terrorists

And the Thing About The Terrorist surviving...Your just as Bad as them, For the Love of god and for the well being and pride of America, Get the Hell out and go to Canada.

That's exactly my point!!! Your grandfathers laid their lives on the line, to make the world a better place. For you to run out on your country when it needs you is a slap in the face to that great generation. Your planned course of action is deplorable & your claim of pascifism is a thinly veiled BIG YELLOW STREAK running down your back. BTW...What makes you think that Canada will let you hide there? This isn't like Viet Nam, they're involved too this time. I'm willing to bet that when you attempt to cross the border, you'll be arrested and sent to prison. Evading a draft is a very serious charge. And while I've never been to prison, I'm of the opinion that punk draft dodgers are right up there with child molesters in the joint (atleast I hope so).

I will not reinlist. I already served. If I was single, I would, but I have family obligations. But I will still contribute to the war effort, when the brave sons & daughters of America are deployed, I plan to organize a drive to collect money and/or goods to send as care packages to our soldiers in the field. I will give blood as often as the Red Cross will let me. And I also will find some kind of job with a company that makes munitions or combat equipment (there's a Boeing plant about 6 miles from my home).

To those of you who answer the call & serve our great country in this hour of great need...I wish you all the very best of luck & a swift, decisive victory. You will be in my thoughts & prayers.

Up until about today I respected professional soldiers.

However reading the disgusting comments from them here changed my mind.

"If you don't want to go kill some people and throw your life away then you must be a pansy."

THATS their attitude and it make me absolutely sick.

All these people in this forum scrambling to enlist have no concept of what war is. It's just like in World War I. The government had people convinced tht it would be "over by christmas". "Join up.. serve your country with honour.. do your part blah blah blah"

Well 4 years later.. and 8 MILLION dead soldiers later.. NOTHING had been accomplished. All that life had been lost for NOTHING. Those men were fighting over some imaginary lines on the ground.

I hope the people signing up know what they're getting into. You may realize some day on some blood soaked mountain in Afghanistan that you made a very very bad descision. If the enemy doesn't kill you, you'll proably discover that your OWN government has screwed you over somehow. They usually do. Whether it's toxic defoliage or some other mysterious illness... you'll be just a pawn to serve their political agendas. George Bush keeps using the word "WE" - Where's HE going to be? He won't be fighting by your side thats for sure. Politicians just sign the papers and make some moving speeches and off you go to your deaths.

Flame me all you want - I don't care. I'm using my head here which is more than can be said for most.

We were the children of the 1950's and John F. Kennedy's young stalwarts of the 1960's. He told the world that Americans would "pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship" in the defense of freedom. We were the down payment on that costly contract, but the man who signed it was not there when we fulfilled his promise. John F. Kennedy waited for us on a hill in Arlington National cemetary, and in time we came by the thousands to fill those slopes with our white marble markers and to ask on the murmur of the wind if that was truly the future he had envisioned for us"

Oh, bullfeathers.

If your objection is to killing, as opposed to simply being another ****ing coward, you could enlist as a combat medic. You'd have to have the balls to risk your life, but your job would be saving lives, not taking them.

I wish the terrorists had parachutes so they could survive their terrible action. I believe that although they committed the most awful thing imaginable, it would be better if those 19 people had not died.

Yes, **** the passengers, **** their families, **** those who died in the buildings, and those who risked their lives to try to save others.

Let the murderers live.

You are un****ingbelievable.

You've got it backwards, dear. We didn't start this. We didn't go out looking for it. It was brought to us, and now you've got yellow-bellied, selfish little prigs making up excuses and saying, we don't give a **** how many they kill, we don't give a **** how unsafe people are in their own homes, all we care about is saving our little asses.

It is that attitude that bin Laden expected, and holds in contempt, as we do. It is the decadence, comfort, and weakness of the west, which he despises.

And you do???? What, from playing Civ and reading some books about damn near century old wars?

Well 4 years later.. and 8 MILLION dead soldiers later.. NOTHING had been accomplished. All that life had been lost for NOTHING.

And the relevance to modern operational doctrine in the year 2001 is? You're the expert, you tell us.

Those men were fighting over some imaginary lines on the ground.

We are fighting to prevent the future murder of thousands of our civilians, for the "crime" of working in the wrong building at the wrong time, or being on the wrong airplane at the wrong time.

I hope the people signing up know what they're getting into. You may realize some day on some blood soaked mountain in Afghanistan that you made a very very bad descision. Your ignorance is amazing? Who wrote that little rant for you, Baghdad Betty? Or is their a Kabul Katie now?

Flame me all you want - I don't care. I'm using my head here which is more than can be said for most.

The me first generation. To hell with everyone else, I'm the only one who counts. As long as I don't get hurt, I don't care what happens.

The most galling thing about being a soldier is being called upon to risk our lives, and never seeing our families again, for spoiled, soft, yellow-bellied cowards who despise us and don't give a **** about anything outside themselves.
