I'm Scared

I started up civ 3 and clicked the Huge Earth Map Scenario. I was about to pick my leader when... things started to get weird! All the text was changed to some strange thing. I x'ed out immediately, but the menu screen was changed into ridiculous text too!

Is this normal?

Yes it is, it's part of the Civilization III experience.

Press Print Screen when you're at the screen you want. Then open Microsoft Paint and press the 'ctrl' and 'v' keys simultaneously and the picture will automatically paste into paint. Then just save it and voila.

Don't worry for me. The game still works and if you exit it goes back to normal. It's also less scarier and kind of even funny now since I realize all the game texts just got screwed up. It happens on the "DYP Huge Earth Map."

I do like the " a humiliating domination loss underneath deity. That is a very weird bug, I have never seen it before.

It happens when you screw up with your patch. Maybe you installed the wrong language; that's what I did and the same thing happened to me.

Too funny. If you actually feel scared, just hypothesize some programmer intended the game to do that when something got messed with.
