Im Tired of Alexander the Great Being Called Greek

nope, Napoleon is completely diff then Alexander the Great...Napoleon was born on Corsica which at the time was French..so he was French all along

It became French 1 year before he was born, his parents weren't French, his first language wasn't French, he spoke French with an accent his entire life, and in his youth he was involved with the Corsican seperatists.

Alexander claimed descent from Herekles and considered himself Greek. I'd say he has just as good a claim to be Greek as Napoleon does to be French.

My History book said that he respected and looked up to Greek culture, was taught by Aristotle (i think), and conquered Greece to get them to stop fighting amoung themselves, so he could allow them to develop thier culture, and then he could spread it to the rest of the world.

If your American, how would you like having a British leader as the leader of your nation in game..it wouldnt be right..just plain it wouldnt be right..or a canadian.

If the US broke into city-states and strarted another civil war, and a canadian guy conquered and reunited us, then i would be okay with that.

Does it matter if his parents wherent French? to be considerd French or Japanise or Chinese what have you all it requires is you to be BORN in the country or to have family from there..in this case Napoleon was BORN in France(not mainland France, but still part of France)..so he was French..o and George Washington was a British Commander at his youth, but became the first US president and fought against Britain...so people like Napoleon can do bad things in youth but then make up for em later

The King of England gave it all out to some of his royal cronies who then brought in serfs to work the land. It's true, as I said, that there were no Indians there before the land was doled out. Yes I realize these things, but they considerd themselves Russian or French or had that blood in them or what have you..the thing is Alexander the Great didn't consider himself Greek, he conquerd and united the Greeks, he considerd himself King of the Macedonian Empire..which included Greece..NOT King of the Greek Empire which included Macedon..

on the other hand, what was alexander's empire called? what were the divisions of the empire called?
Many posters here may not come from that region, but even TODAY, one sees the influence of alexander across a whole swathe of south-central asia. i've seen some indians who have greek blood in them...

The thing is by calling him leader of Native Americans is you are making him leader of the Aztecs, Mayans, Incans, Iroquois, Metis and so on which he wasn't.

Historians don't consider him a Greek leader, Historians consider him a Leader who spread Greek Culture and established a Macedonian Empire..he conquerd/united Greece..the Romans spread Greek Culture becuz they used it themselves, but they wheren't Greeks

Perhaps the Greeks should be renamed Hellenists. Greece, Macedonia and the Successor States all shared a common Hellenistic Culture. There wasn't a united Greek state anyway, Pericles wasn't leader of Greece, just Athens, and the enemies he fought were other Greeks
