but iof you could have it just be for him with the little icon would you? i personaly like my idea of enable-quickly disable it
I'm no expert in coding, but I'm pretty sure that wouldn't work. Once TF disables it, the code would then be ineffective for all things trying to use it, even things that were put into place while it was effective. Similar to how if you look through the very old forum posts, the php code (<b>, etc.) is visible, and the effects (bold, etc.) don't appear, because the forum now uses vB rather than php.

You are probably right but in the case of custom avatars you can still keep an old custom avatar even if your post count is reduced below 300 afterwards...

Yeah I know but its still part of the forum so its easy to compare the two even if its incorrect to do so...

Well, sigs would be quite refreshing for Civ3 forums. Look at BlizzForums. They allow sigs and avatars, but make there be a 20kb limit on avatars (125 px by 125 px) and on sigs its a 60kb limit (500px by 125 px). It is quite great, as it allows you to distinguish the different posters, easily, and makes the page less monotonous.

Of course, you're not blizzforums, but you can implement a similar system (even if the system would only allow 20kb on sigs and 300 px by 50 px or something tiny like that. But, still, it would be GREAT!

BEsides, then I could show off my photoshop SKILLZ! ;)
