[BTS] IMM & Deity lets play collection thread - Henrik

@konata_LS

It is actually going extremely well.

Spoiler :

I was very aggressive in the settling. Settled many cities far west to try to block the others off a little. Got some floodplains and three gold, some jungle and calendar resources. Willem was up north. Blocked him off so that he could not get more than two cities, and then I murdered him. Currently in pole position for Lib... Might go for Rifling before Cuirs....

@jnebbe
started playing the first hour orso of your map, looks like a slow but promising game.
Spoiler :
took a long time to spot any of their borders, so i peacefully expanded up to a lot of cities and continueing to do so after seeing both monte and toku stuck next to each other and blocked by barbs. tough neighbours but luckily not too close. Behind on uploads so have to post a few other games first.

HI @Henrik75 I don't have actual maps for you ( I could try to generate some), but I've been though most of your lets plays, and there are some leaders your still to play, which might be interesting to see. These are
  • Bismark
  • Churchill
  • De Gualle
  • Ghandi
  • Hammy
  • Jaio
  • Mao
  • Napolean
  • Qui She Hang
  • Stalin
  • Washington
Have you any plans for some of the above (any type of map / difficulty). Some of the above are actual powerful leaders (ie Bismark), some not so strong, but all better than Toku or Burger King

Yep Eventually will get around to playing everyone but also slotting in leaders I have played before and enjoy/want to replay.

Hey, I just rolled a pretty bad start and immediately remembered this thread and said to myself 'AHHH I should post that there'! So there you go. :D :)
The map is Pangea, everything is standard, no funny business, no cooking /i never do that ****/ - just rolled a random leader and it turned out to be a pretty crazy and disgusting IMO. Played only a couple of turns and stopped cause I am really tired of horsehockey starts - I just want an easy win, is that so much to want?! lol!

I would be glad to see how you will play it since I just loose motivation but maybe I will play the save some day when I am not that demotivated and angry but definitely will be super interesting to watch you and see how you would problem solve it and get out of the tricky situation /maybe for you it would even be easy/.

Ok - time to shut up. I will not spoil anything else, hope you try it I believe in you! :D:thumbsup::)

haha nice I never go for that actually. what about the south?
i also used another word i am sure. not poor cause i know ragnar is ok when on the coast.

Spoiler :
When i said the start is horsehockey and by that I meant the whole map is kinda unfair I also meant the imperialistic neighbour who settled early right into my face!

Yes he did the same to me of course, so I went and kicked his ass :)

He actually had 3 cities before I got my 2nd at 2600bc, so looks like you did give them the correct units and techs, that's only possible on IMM/Deity

That's what i wanted to hear! I was sure the only reasonable option is to declare to him ASAP. :D;)

@Henrik: In your Ghandi game you rejected moving on the 3 hammer starting tile. Is 2 -> 3 hammer not worth moving any more? You still gain a turn for the worker and have more production for the rest of the early game.

Hello Henrik

Was just about to regenerate this map owing to the starting position, but stopped as I thought ... This might be an interesting map for Henrik to play. You will see probably after 5 turns why. I've never had a starting position like this, so will be interesting to see how you handle it.

The good news is your Pacal, I'll let you look at the map for the rest to decide to see if its interesting to play. The save is a world builder save (as I have bug so did not upload the actual save game), so have a look the next time you fancy playing Pacal.

Its not Iso, but this Starting Position does have a twist here.

Map is standard (Hemispheres so two large contintents plus some small islands, but High sea level so about 950 land tiles total).

EDIT :- Forgot to mention the save is on Immortal
