Immaculate NES II: Emperor of the Fading Heavens (pre-NES thread)

Count me in!

Wesley- maybye i missed it but who is doing the voting. you CANNOT allow the serfs to vote... it wouldn't work with the whole feudalism thing. maybe the nobles could vote though.

Feel free to ask me about the universal church but its largely like midieval catholicism at its worst.

free to post to your heart's content wherever and however you want.

I'll consider playing anyway, but I take it that this clause is repealed? I didn't realise there were any implicit restrictions.

EDIT: Come to think of it, this would work with the original concept as long as the Empire intimidated them into giving up serf voting. Permission to put that into the backstory?

People usually say 'do not post' at the beginning of their NES threads- i just meant i'm not doing that.

oh- and in regards to the species of the stars:

There are no sentient species amongst the known worlds who have not come from Errovus (except the symbiots).

Humans make up 90% of the known population.

Orcs live amongst humans and are more tolerated in some houses more then others but generally are well integrated. there are no 1/2 orcs anymore- any orcs that remain are pure-blooded and the union of orc with human does not result in any children. Orcs make up 6% of the total world population.

Gnomes (evolved from the Halluchuirp) are almost exclusively found amongst the League of Guilds and account for 4% of the total population. There is a large distrust of gnomes amongst the populace and amongst the church. Gnomes seldom integrate amongst the 'normal' population.

Less then 0.1% of the world's population is made up of elves. These are called 'the lost' and have been, as a species, ex-communicated by the Patriarch Barbatos (for bringing symbiots to the known worlds not once but twice). Generally elves are hated and distrusted by the majority of the population and many people consider them directly responsible for the consequences of war with the symbiots. In modern times 'the lost' are smugglers and pirates almost exlusively and have few friends.

Does anyone know how to remove the globe-builder menus from globe-builder view so i can make some quick and dirty maps? I want globe-view of revealed terrain. I don't really want to make my own maps for this.

Also, if anyone has any ideas for a way to generate about 6 planet maps (don't need one for leagueheim and errovus) very quickly with a minimum of effort?

Well, one quick and dirty way would be to use Civ itself with screen capture. It wouldn't be as pretty as, say, the original map from FFHNESII, but they'd be relatively easy to edit.

EDIT: and, obviously, I finished my test for today. I'll see what I can come up with for a major noble house, and PM or email it for approval.

Yeah, i figured out the map thing: give the civ 'satellites'

Wait do Gnolls still exist? I kinda had some plans for them.

I have plans for Amurite based Noble House. Kind of.

If T.B claims it, I shall go find something else I can play as.

In. I would like to play a minor house though, since I'm in a tonne of other stuff and in the middle of my last year of High School.

If possible, I am thinking of a house built over the Sheaim, although Balseraphs would be nice aswell.

Balseraphs didn't exist in FFH NES II, though I guess there was the one Amurite city that was heading that way if you want to use that as an way to get them in there.

I also want to control what's left of my Sheaim, but perhaps some history could be written about the Sheaim splitting after the Soul Wars?

Seon, I'm going to claim the Amurite descendants...

But, remember, MY Amurites weren't the only ones around. there were those rebels living on the coast that I hadn't gotten around to eradicating. if you want, feel free to use those. (Red Cricket Throne, I beleive?)

Nah. I like zombies, but not that much ;) (Guess what I was planning to do). 'tis a cool idea though.

Oh yeah; i forgot about the gnolls- lets say a portion of the orcs are actually gnolls. still prone to canabalism at times.... :)

in regards to all these houses based on ancient cultures- you can also have a house based on a new culture if you want... althought the ties to ancient cultures is cool.

I'm perfectly fine with a little cannibalism from time to time, it adds more to my intended effect.;)

House Klorin

Origins:
The Origins of House Muritian have faded into History, some claiming that archeological evidence dates it to the end of the Last Ice Age, Long before the Soul Wars. What is known, However, is that the house is the only one with Orcish Families among it's great Families.

Traditions:
While the first born of the families are traditionally groomed to be rulers, either in Imperial terms or more locally, Second and Third Borns usually enter, either the military or the Church, Usually in the Eskatonic Order, though the house has High Ranking officials in many of the other sects, and are usually able to bring some of the power of the church to bear in thier favor. (Immy, is this acceptable?)

While, naturally, there are Rivalries within the house, and assassinations and coups exist, there are exceptionally rare, for some reason.

Major Families
Kawalen: The Current Patriarch of the House is a Kawalen

Ember: Orcish Family, second most powerful

Gohan: Orcish family, reputed to head the Klorin Intelligence network

Jabile: Smallest of the Families, but one of the loudest and most rebellious

Vecedees: Most members in the Eskatonic order, nearly anything the House asks of the Order goes through this family

Nimir: Militant Family

Cricket: Quite rebellious family, in any discussion, most likely to go against the concensus.

Do I need more, Immaculate?

Finished!

If all goes will, and once Immac clears it, I'll post House Query here. And before you ask, 'Query' just sounded neat in my head, it has nothing to do with the actual word.

There really is no great history with them (or at least, none just yet); my feeling was that there's been at least a couple thousand years of history, across universes, and the culture base just wouldn't be that persistant. Doubly so since my house is a bit of a polyglot anyway.
