Imperia Mobiana

Actually, just like Gohan vs. Cell, the bad guy was about to win, but something hitting him from behind gave the hero enough of an edge to win instead. :p Can't beat a God? Use God's own power against him!

As for a non-canon ending, feel free. Anybody can contribute if they feel the desire or interest.

Part CXXIV: The Claws of Blood

Spoiler :

Link to video.

The Rise of Aatto marked the end of peace on a global scale. The rise was caused from Green Hill feeling directionless, weak, and behind. Aatto promised all three would be fixed. The Council, which governed Green Hill ever since the execution of the Acorn Royal Family, was dissolved, with a one-man dictatorship in its place. Aatto now wielded supreme power.

But to the world stage, he was a pretender. Why does a regime change make Green Hill good? Is Aatto really good enough to turn a backwater nation into a world power? While everyone watched, the answer to them was no. "I will prove them wrong", he knew. "They will all bow down to me, everyone. From Mexico to the Dragon Kingdom".

However, his first actions as leader were quite surprising. He demilitarized the New English border, calling them long-time allies, and started trying to get the nation industrialized with civilian goods. Aatto either had a good pokerface, or perhaps he has an interest in peace after all. It was the former. The troops that used to guard the New English border were now doing the same for the Mexican border. All the factories built had a secret basement, where armaments were built and supplied to the Green Hill army.

However, not all liked Aatto and his reigme. The biggest resistance was Sonic the Hedgehog. He claims that Princess Sally is still alive, and he knows exactly where she is. The blue hedgehog, using the evidence of Sally's liberal leaning before her execution, stated a restored monarchy will free Green Hill. His so-called "Freedom Fighters" plague the rural areas of the Green Hill Empire, but no urban area is under threat.

Aatto and Green Hill was armed, willing, and ready to make war. The Alliance that kept peace fell through as Green Hill troops marched across the border. New England held their breaths, as the treaty never stated if any member invaded another. Aatto marched personally with his troops, raising morale and efficiency. The first battle happened only 50 miles into the border, where a small Mexican garrison was located. A swift artillery strike, followed b a charge routed them.

But that was not the main battle. Soon after the last Mexican left, a defiant rebel yell could be heard. Immediately afterwards came perhaps the Freedom Fighters with literally ever member present. They all stood, facing the Green Hill army, ready to "free" their nation.

(Yeah, they're not humans. Loved the image too much not to use it)

The fate of Green Hill will be determined on these hills.

Part 2 Tomorrow.

I have a cannon ending.

After becoming the most dominant legitimate power on Mobia, without the aid of even a single Chaos Emerald, the Númenorian king wondered - what would it be like to rule the world again? So, he commissioned a new weapon, one that would change the way wars would be fought forever (again) - a laser satellite. These new weapons of mass destruction would wipe that upstart Knuckles off the face of this planet - finally, a world without fools such as he! This planet was not fit for those who would cause war betwixt nations so often. No, the world needed a stronger leader, one who could promote peace. A leader like Tar-Aragorn. So, King Tar-Aragorn called lasers down from the heavens, destroying Angel Island entirely. Knuckles, empowered by the Chaos Emeralds, was thrown from the blast site. When he awoke, he was alone. His empire had crumbled when it saw what happened to the capital. Naturally, Knuckles sought vengeance. He made his way to Númenor, ready to tear down its walls and sack the foreign island. However, Tar-Aragorn would not stand for that. When Knuckles reached the palace, destroying all in his path, the King of Númenor pointed his mighty sword, Narsil, at Knuckles, and challenged the echidna to single combat. Knuckles' response was a missile.

Tar-Aragorn expected as much, and deftly jumped out of the way of the oncoming projectile. Knuckles fired three more of the things at his enemy. Tar-Aragorn dogged two, but Knuckles had shot them in such a way that the king could only doge a pair. Thus,
Tar-Aragorn did the only thing he could do - he swung Narsil. To Knuckle's surprise, the missile was cut in twain by the magical sword. He then charged forward, ready to pummel the Dúnedain into a bloody pulp. Tar-Aragorn parried the flying fists with his sword, as if a shield were surrounding his body. Both the fists and Narsil were a blur now, and onlookers described it as if the two combatants were staying perfectly still, their movements so quick that the naked eye could not witness them. Neither Knuckles nor Tar-Aragorn had anything to show for their efforts but sweat, until one fateful moment, when Knuckles failed to block a swing of Narsil fast enough. He was impaled upon the sword of his enemy, and let out a gasp of exasperation.

Knuckles slid off Narsil, and never uttered a word again.

When Mobius heard of Knuckles' defeat, they immediately recognized the leadership of the Dúnedain. Even those who had once paid tribute to Angel Island now sent their ships laden with gold and silver to the isle of Númenor. These people had come to this world as unwilling refugees, but in the end, they had claimed it as their own. Not only a new home for the Dúnedain, but a new empire... the only question was, would it last?

I love your pun, Double A. :p

As for Omega, it will be interesting to see how this will go.
