Imperialism II PBEM

These current stats rather suit me, seeing as the Ottomans are one of my major obstacles :D

I think copying the rules file Curt posted would be a good idea, to ensure we're all playing by the rules. Perhaps it might be worth looking again at the Ottoman stats as they should not be such an easy target. My early cannon have been consistently beating them, which does seem a little unfair if other nations are not able to expand as easily. Up to Curt as the designer.

:)
Made some minor tweaks to Turkish and Chinese troops...

All quiet on the western hemisphere

I am now using the rules.txt that CurtSibling posted today.
Also Port Stanley eh Curt, what's the payout if you don't mind me asking. I've mostly done trades to Europe and it seems like ~700 is the average for me. I'm not risking sailing near Independent waters they'll sink my ships and the Caribbean battles have mauled my navy.

If you are in the USA or Europe, Stanley is THE place to trade. Once it reaches about size 12, the caravan payouts are healthy indeed! :)

The French colonial government in Diego-Suarez invites the world to visit and trade with us. We're a lovely size 12 city with the Grand Railway Station infrastructure you would expect from a city of our size. Under efficient French Democracy, there is no corruption in our city (unlike in most other colonies) and we boast a base trade of 33 arrows.

The German Empire will be happy to send some merchantmen to this fine French port!

Nice!

I will post before the day is done (MST time zone, at least).

At turn takes minutes. Especially for a small power like Japan.

The German Empire is impatient!

Ah, but understandably every single one of the Emperors coins must be well accounted for. Dimes make dollars, and soon enough the Japanese rules Asia.

Japan can make amazing trade profits if they can get caravans to NYC or London.

Japanese Cavalry forces, arriving on ships under the Rising Sun flag, arrive in the Emperor's new possession of Tsingtao and parade gloriously through the streets. Now, the Meiji Emperor begins his plans to bring order and peace to the chaotic and crumbling Chinese Emperor that his own people had long emulated and admired.

*German trade ships near their destinations, and new fleets leave the harbours of Europe to seek mercantile ports among the nations!
*Magistrates and schools open up across the Empire, as our young minds are prepared for the leading role in future world affairs!
*We predict great commercial profits and breakthroughs in science over the next years...Germany Above All!

Barranquilla captured! However, sissy Congress forces the government to sign a cease-fire with the dangerous Independents. So I guess they get a reprieve!

Well, Isolationists did dominate the U.S. Congress in the late 19th Century, so...

There seems to be some kind of bug in the trade route mechanism. Every single one of my cities that does not have higher yielding trade routes with other cities already formed has Iron Ore trade Routes with the Russian city of Kazan!

Unless McMonkey has pulled off a most spectacular rush of caravan production and dispersal all across the world, I should believe something is quite broken!
