I ain't gotta explain a thing
It doesn't matter how many peacekeeping troops you have, you don't use them for acts of war.
It doesn't matter how many peacekeeping troops you have, you don't use them for acts of war.
From: Japan
To: UNVIFOR
Japan, knowing that the other members of the UNVIFOR are interested in peace and are not imperialists and colonialists like Greece, will not invade UNVIFOR territory and will not chase Greek soldiers into UNVIFOR land. However, if Greek artillery attacks from UNVIFOR territory or Greece uses Air Bases in UNVIFOR territory, Japan will bombard those targets for self-defence.
You know what? the platonic republic has done a good job pointing out flaws with japans reasoning. and for pointing out things i missed, so we are giving Thessaloniki back to them.
..i'd rather not face them in combat. well, that, and they show more bravery than the Empire ever did.
From this day forward there is only one nationality in the Mediterranean: Mediterranean. Let us forsake the sins which inflicted against each other and embrace ourselves in a stance against the barbarians at the gates!
Greeks, Romans, Turks, Arabians, Italians, Spanish... all sub parts of the Mediterranean pan-nationality!
Our peacekeepers are members of the Protective Caste and their virtue is courage. They are set to Vietnam to protect the Vietnese and if that involves facing the Japanese then so be it. They had prepared for it, for we had expected Japanese aggression towards the UN mission. Now it is time to stand up against Japan and its puppet for JUSTICE!
The peacekeepers are instructed to shoot in self-defense only. So far no Platonic UNVIFOR members have been killed by Japanese troops. This constitutes an act of aggression.

Vietnam deserves better. We are willing to ignore the petty weakness of the UN and the arrogant cowardice of the UAR to save Vietnam from a lose of sovereignty. This includes the puppet you installed and yourself. However the Council of Henoi was the catalyst in the heat, for we are prepared for war in protection of the Council. Therefor... "if you want peace prepare for war" should be heeded. If you agree to cease your declaration of war against the Council of Henoi then the Protective Caste will not taste a battle against the Japanese.
Hence; for justice's sake have the courage to denounce your own declaration of war against the Council of Henoi and we in turn will not have to spring into its defence.
We do this for justice!
Nice joke. I laughed quite a lot. Thank you for entertaining me with this PM.
We are serious. If your not committed to peace then it is not the Platonic Republic that begins war and it is not us who will be the imperial aggressors.
By the way Japan; we are sharing your message (and ours) with both Rome and the UAR. We are also sharing this specific message with France, in honour of the victims of the chemical attack so they may see whether you are committed to peace or not.
I did not poison the French, but this is an other case. Anyway, UNVIFOR does not support you. UAR, who are my archenemies, do not support you. Only Rome supports you. Oh, and the Hanoi warlords that do not have a central government and fight each other, killing off a whole generation of Vietnamese. Also, since you support Hanoi, then why did you not protest at UNVIFOR's plan to invade it? We did not see you once to protest at this.
Anyway, from now on, you will meet our guns. And we are committed to peace, not Greek jokes.
Peacekeeping commander orders Greek withdrawal
HO CHI MINH CITY: Lieutenant-General Ahmad al-Karimi, field commander of the UN peacekeeping force in Vietnam, has ordered the combat contingent provided by the Platonic Republic out of the country. The order comes amid UN concerns that Greece intends to use UN-held territories as a staging ground in a possible war against Japan.
Requests by the United Arab Republic that the unit be subordinated to al-Karimi's command were rejected. Concerned that Athens would not uphold UNVIFOR's rules of engagement, which specifically prohibit peremptory aggression against Japanese forces, the general ordered the force's withdrawal, apparently at his own discretion.
In an emergency press conference, Diya Amirmuaz of the United Arab Republic upheld al-Karimi's decision as necessary to preserve the humanitarian auspices of the mission, and rebuked Athens for unilaterally attempting to rewrite the mission mandate: "For the Greek government to threaten the fragile peace established in southern Vietnam ... constitutes the most brazen contempt for rationality." Amirmuaz warned that "Any action taken by the Platonic Republic that jeopardizes the integrity of [UNVIFOR] ... will be met with severe repercussions."
The United Nations has not released an official response to the dispute.
the Roman Empire is... mixed as to what to do. we could either:
1. withdraw our military forces in support of the platonic Republic. an aircraft carrier, plus its battle group will be a very useful asset to them, but it might piss off the UAR, and the UN.
2. keep to the status quo, which might piss off the platonic republic, again.
the Emperor hates these kinds of decisions. but, we did note that the UAR did not respond whatsoever to Roman actions, backing up the platonic republic.
Remember; if we do not show our might to protect the Council of Hanoi then it will sent the message that warmongers can get away with anything, while the UN and the UAR remain stuck on their arses.
It is not dishonourable to annoy cowards like the UAR.
there are both sides to the argument. we are inviting the leaders of both platonic republic and the United Arab Republic, to convince me, Emperor Andreas I Laskaris, that their respective sides are better for Roman Glory.
