i would think that all of Vietnam is considered part of the UN mission, this includes Hanoi. in my opinion, this supersedes any single nation that also wants a part or all of it.

...when we made it clear we were going to defend Hanoi does not sound like a path to peace.

As for the UN; you have openly shown aggression to Thor's nation and your nation is no longer part of the UN, both are against you in flavour...

IC: the Platonic Republic will defend Vietnam. If Japan wants to invade us over this then so be it; if they can reach us (we call on the Emirates to block Japanese boat access and our Arabian friends to ensure no Japanese military force gets pass Egypt) then they will face a defence they could only hope to match, when they are far from home in the foreign waters of the Med. However, when we brought this up on the main thread, Sichuan told us to stay out of it, and that the UN couldn't reach the HC's territory without passing through Sinchuan, which is false, since the HC borders UN controlled areas and is accessible from the coast. Perhaps Sinchan has a stake in the HC's survival?

As for veto; I have troops already in Vietnam as part of the peacekeeper mission. To veto would say "they do not exist."

...before Japan openly attacked it aggressively so it can place its puppet in charge. Yes the warlords are notable but at least they are not some puppet for a clearly aggressive power willing to set people on fire to give them pain and most defintly poisoned UN mission vessels with platinum, sacrificing their own troops as a mask to ward off would be investigation.

Clear Japan is a threat to Vietnam. We are not simply protecting the Council; we area defending the country from the likes of evil.
