In-game alias reseting

Hey, I looked around for this issue and I couldn't find any results on it so I thought I'd post here about it.

I recently learned by flipping through the threads about setting the in-game alias via altering the ini file and I've done so. However, almost every time I start the game after I alter it(or start a new match without quitting), the ini file is re-written back to the default value of "admin" for the alias. My question is, how do I keep it from basicly resetting itself?

The version I almost always play is BTS 3.19 with next war enabled.

you could either set the .ini to read only after you are done with your settings or delete the backup it creates (civilizationIV.ini.bak) - that should keep it from overwriting the file
