Also, I replaced "killers whales" with "orca" in the quote because I like the word better. Considering he didn't write it in English anyway I don't think Pliny would mind.
here's an elephant effigy made from mangoes and what looks to be a cheese stick.
Oops, upon reading the blog post that this image accompanies, it turns out the elephant's trunk is made from the mango's pit. Personally I'm not sure a mango actually has a pit any more than Jupiter has a surface underneath all that gas. It gets dense toward the center, arguably even hairy, but at no single point can one say X is the definitive frontier between pit and meat.
