A couple of days ago I changed one of our member's name and (I thought) sent him a message about the change. After I hit the Send button I saw (to my horror) that the message was being sent to 100 000 or so members. I tried to cancel the message but some went through. I apologize for the inconvenience. Please be assured that no one's name was changed except for the original requester. There is no need to contact me about the matter. Thanks.

That's a lot of PMs. It's a shame we don't have BCC here. That would be useful.

I wondered how I got summoned.

haha...

Only really really long time members received the message...

If this gets some of them to come back to the forum and be active again, then good thing. :D

Since ve actually started to play Civ6 maybe it's time for a return to the community as well. I'll have to think about it . I don't recognise the site logo, but your avatar is the same.

Welcome back! :)

This got me thinking... Maybe this weekend I should mass email members about the recent forum and site migrations, and get (some of) them to come back... :)

S-so do I have to delete the signature addon?

Well, it's a heck on an advertising gimmick, that's for sure. Just hope your inbox is eventually usable again Petek :D

So, has spearmen vs tanks finally been resolved?

Has the rift in the industry/community caused by Alpha Centauri been healed yet?

I bet there is some really contentious ISIS mod available too, right?

Please describe this rift. I'm not sure what you mean.

Best not to open it all up again, eh? ;)

Surprised of the three lines that was the one that got a response though

Glad to see the forum is still going, I don't get time to play games these days. Or at least the time is used up on other things - raced at Ironman UK this year, for example.

I've been back here occasionally when I want to get an opinion on a historical event or battle though, so aim still getting value.

Good luck all, keep it up :)

I got the message, bought the game, started to read in the forums... All in all a pretty good mistake I think!
