First row, Ottoman new army.
Second row, the last Janissaries.
Last row, auxiliaries.

The first two Janissaries are from the 1810 military review, which means their are in parade dress. The headgear of the first Janissary is ceremonial and/ or restricted to officers by this date. The rest wear the cahouk with or without a turban.

Thanks.
I wouldn't say it in these words, though they might make good antagonists.

Anyway here's the rest.
The sipahi variations (with the plumes)are derived from standard bearer uniforms, to be used as Pashas and such.
The Kapikulu and the Sultan's household are the same unit.
The Zirkhli Sipahis are cuirassiers with broadswords.

Have fun! If I ever finish all the icons for OG-Kaiser, I'll let you have them.

I'm currently playing the Brits in Palestine campaign (EL Aurence stylie)

Does anyone know where I can get such terrain graphics? The idea of reduced colour is superb and the units are plain for all to see. But it looks a little bit time-consuming to make them myself. So if these terrains exist, please post them.

Edit: I'll start doing it myself, can't wait. It looks too perfect.

Hm, this looks indeed really interesting. I never thought about to reduce the colour of the terrain graphics to highlighting the units and cities.

I will try to use this on one of my unfortunatelly never released scenarios. But I try to release them in future. ;)

Austrian Infantry of the Austrian-Prussian war of 1866. The bronze fitting with the leaves on the shako signifies Grenadiers, in lieu of pompom.
The Grenz are light infantry, Croats and such.

Here is an example how a reduced colour terrain would look like in game:

I have to play a little bit with the values. I think I will try to use something like this in one of my scenarios.

What do you guys think? :)

It looks kind of neat. Very much like many history book images!

By the way, is that sole unit appearing in Paris meant to be Napoleon himself?

Interesting. It reminds me of ZWK somewhat.

Anyhow, here's my curent WIP, armies of the German unification. More will be coming soon.

Looks great, champ.

My best results are with a saturation of -30/40 and brightness +30/40
