Industrious Leader Question

On the manual and civlopedia, it stated the Industrious Leader; "Wonder production increased 50 percent. Double production speed of Forge."

I just can't figure out what does "Wonder production increased 50 percent" mean. Is the required shields/hammers cut off by 50%? - Does not look like it during the game.

Anyone here to enlighten me please?

No, it's the other way around. When producing hammers towards a wonder, you get a bonus of 50% more. Effectively it cuts the cost to 2/3 of normal.

Say the city I am building a wonder has 10 hammers/turn. Because of the industrious trait, I will add 15 hammers (10*150%) to the production of the wonder per turn?

No, you will raise the production to fifteen hammers. If you added fifteen hammers on top of the ten you already had, that would be a 150% increase.
