It's probably possible, yes. At first I thought such a feature would be redundant since one can already increase faith but it would definitely be useful for non-human civs and creating scenarios. I will look into it and see how much work that would require. With a bit of luck I will be able to make it for v26.
 
I didn't try your beta yet because i'm figuring what is causing the game to freeze. Hopefully i found it.
But i found something interesting.
in the IGE city tab. "We love the king" the computer knows it was pressed but it doesn't show it on the effected cities.
I also do not see the golden ring popup on the right side of the screen to notify me that city has "We love the king".
Hopefully that may get fixed in v26.

I forgot to add. The fog of war. when increasing the City's plot range the clouds do not follow until it hits another civ, near a Wonder, or hitting a ruin.
Those are the only bugs i'm seeing thus far.

Still having freezing issues. cleared steam cache again deleted Civ5's cache...
the freezing is getting annoying though...

(edit)Good news the freezing doesn't have to do with IGE. Just mods with the update of 1.0.674 which causing freezing into crashing random turns.

Thank you for those reports, those bugs are now fixed. :)
I guess they were introduced in the last civ5 patch, so many breaking changes... I also fixed another bug by the way: fog is now correctly updated when you change a tile's ownership through the dedicated tool on the terrain panel. That one was introduced in v23 I think, when I corrected added the workaround to circumvent the accumulation bug.

Your welcome...Yea the annoying bugs fixed. Now maybe firaxis can fix the freaking crashing patch... 111 turns and it crashes...
 
love the teleport... but one the fun things of the teleport make sure its teleport from land to land or sea to sea. Watching a unit ship travel in the woods lol...
 
Did anyone got errors at the beginning? Some users on Steam report missing graphics. WTH?!

Once a pantheon is founded, you a get a "found religion" button. Then an "enhance religion" button.

I wish to have something clarified. If I want to set up a scenario with the editor, does it output files as per worldbuilder, or are they game save files... or perhaps the distinction does not matter in Civ 5... can I use it for scenario development, or is more of a "cheat" engine (do not take this in a negative context...). I just downloaded the program, and I really do like its functionality, but I want to create scenarios/mods downloadable via modbuddy... are the maps generated by this mod usable as mod/scenario maps?

I personally never tried but some other did and the maps modified with IGE should be usable for a scenario of course; they are still regular maps. The only thing I am unsure of is whether everything is carried on in the "map to scenario" process (or are some parameters reset). I would love to hear your feedback by the way.
 
I'm getting texture .dds error when I load the mod. I'm not using any other mods, I have the latest patch and I don't have any DLC or the expansion pack. I get the texture error when it's loading the game, I can ignore the error but the textures for the mod isn't there and some of the background is just pink. I also haven't used and other version of the mod, and I am using the latest.

Anyone know how to fix this? (I tried to re install the game but it didn't solve the problem)
Sorry for overlooking this problem. Given recent comments on Steam I think it actually happens to all people who use civ5 without G&K, because civ5 apparently tries to load textures that are never needed. I will release a v27 in a few hours that will fix that.

If you still encounter such troubles, please report the images' names displayed in the message box (full path not needed). Note that I am not able to test IGE without G&K.
 
If you encounter a crash with civ5 when using SetTexture on an AlphaAnim, you need to assign any texture to the AlphaAnim on the XML side before you can call SetTexture on the LUA side.

This was a message to other modders, let's hope Google index that. Remember Google: SetTexture crashes civ5 with AlphaAnim.
Probably celebrating my 100th crash since G&K is out (six days ago). That game really is a pile of....
 
I am a Mac Steam user with Civ 5 and G&K. I use no other mods. I am a bit new to installing mods to Civ 5 so I am sorry if I appear to be a bit of a €%&”#.
After installing G&K I fetched the IGE mod (v26) and tried to get it to work. Followed all instructions and I got the Mod Menu to show up in the right place. The problem is that the minute I try to start IGE (ctrl i or right click on menue) the game crashes. It freezes and after a few moments Civ 5 quits by itself. Followed the instructions to empty the Civ 5 cache. Did not help.
Initiated a log for the “ctrl i” action, what do I do with my lua .txt?
Thankful for any help. Loved the IGE in Civ4 and hope to do the same here.
(Have in the last minutes downloaded v27 – no change)
 
First of all thanks for this great work! However,since the expansion to G&K the game crashes a lot.
I installed version 26 yesterday according to the instructions manualy under My games/civ5/mods folder. I wanted to start a mod with the ingame editor,crash is what I get. Version 27,the same.
This problem began also when the new workshop patch for civ was released. So with or without G&K the game crashes with any mod. Also a problem is when I hit the get mods button ingame,nothing happens. I tried to figure out what could be wrong but nothing works. Maybe someone knows what to do?
