I guess I was too optimistic when I assumed that no mod would ever delete the pantheon. :D

Now, some of the errors arise in code sections borrowed from the vanilla game (city banners), hence why they happen both with and without IGE. Still, the stack traces in the log show I need to fix things in my own files.
 
Version 31 has been released.

Hi DonQuiche,

I've been able to crash my game consistently when in IGE v.30 and v.31. Here are the exact steps I take:

1. Set up new game under IGE: Isabella, Pangaea, Standard, Emperor
2. Save game
3. Open IGE
4. Reveal map
5. Switch to Strategic View (F10)
6. Zoom all the way out and scroll around

It crashes my Civ 5 (G&K) every time.

This ONLY happens with v30 and v31. It does not happen with v29 or v27 (didn't bother testing v28). A bit ironic, since I think v30 is when IGE starts suggesting to hit F10!

My specs:
Intel Core i7-2600 @ 3.40 GHz
8GB RAM
Win 7 Professional 64-bit
GeForce GTX 460
DX 11
nVidia driver 301.42 (8.17.13.142)

Did something change between v29 and v30 in terms of how IGE handles Strategic View?

Unfortunately this is a civ5 bug and I won't be able to fix it, I will only be able to provide you an option to use the vanilla strategic map rather than the IGE map.

So, as you may have guessed from what I just said, since v30 the strategic map you see when IGE is opened is not the real strategic map. It is a custom imitation of it. The main difference is that the IGE version reacts to all terrain changes you perform, contrary to the original strategic map where some changes (for example changing a hex from land to sea) were not reflected.
 
Thanks, DonQuiche. I guess this is probably a problem with my hardware set-up? I'm surprised nobody else is having the same issue...

I personally would be happy if we had the option to use the "native" strategic view. The non-updating map is a little weird, but it only takes a reload, and I have a SSD so reloading takes only a few seconds. I'm happy just using v. 29, too. :)

Thanks for the great mod! I've been using it to try out a few things and test my own custom civilization mods, and it's been absolutely crucial. I can't imagine modding anything without it!

Indeed, it looks like it is a problem with your hardware. Maybe a driver problem? And, do not worry, I will release in a couple of days a version with an option like the one we discussed. :)

can i add promotions (even unique promotions not available) without leveling up the unit.or can i make it possible by editing files, maybe?like the classic civ 4 worldbuilder.
 
Hello. No, IGE does not have such a feature. I do not remember the reasons that led me to forget this idea at the time I wrote the units panel but I think there was something that prevented me to do it as good as I would have liked it to be.
 
Hey, I have an App Store G & K installed. Where do I install the ige modinfo file? I can't find a Mods folder, even inside the app itself
 
I am sorry if this has been asked/answered before, but is there any way to implement a 'create open borders agreement' tool? I'm tired of having to make ridiculous agreements to be able to monitor wars in countries which don't like me =(

EDIT: Actually, what would be even more useful is a way to adjust how much countries like each other (friendly, neutral, guarded etc.)
 
I've lurked here for as long as I have purchased Civ 5; I finally registered to give feedback on this mod.

It looks awesome, and definitely is one of the best mods ever created for this game.

I said it "looks" awesome... because I can't get it to work.


For me, the IGE logo simply doesn't show up in-game. I've tried everything; wiping the cache, reinstalling, deleting older mods, unsubscribing, subscribing, everything, but the game just doesn't appear.

The mods that I use are:

RED Modpack v16
Spacebar Mod
Larger Scale Mod

However, even when I tested Vanilla, the mod does not show up.

What information do I need to give you in order for me to help you troubleshoot?

Lua Log (Vanilla; no other mods installed, cache wiped)

Hello SilverSwordsman and welcome on CivFanatics.

This is just an installation problem. Either you did something wrong (read the installation notes again on the first page), either Steam messed up your download (if you do not see IGE in the mods screen, see this fix), either you reloaded a savegame created with some mods witout those mods (in such case all mods are disabled by civ5). The log is of no use here since this is not a bug: it just confirms to me that the mod was not loaded by civ5.
 
EDIT: I feel like an idiot; for all the information I read, I didn't see the mod instructions in-game (I didn't see the "Do not press Back" button)

This is really strange because the log does not show any problem. Everything seems to happen correctly: ForceRevealMap is correctly called, initialized (HideFog) and concluded (RestoreFog). What a puzzling bug...

I do not think the map size is the problem. Here are some questions for you please:
* Which mods do you use? If you only have a few I will test them myself but should you have many of them, could you try to disable half of them, retry, disable the other half, retry, etc, until you find a culprit?
* Which version do you have? The base game or do you also have Gods and Kings?
* Is your version legal and up-to-date (it is if you never disabled auto-updates in Steam - you can see the version on civ5's main menu if needed)?
* PC or Mac?
* Did you enable the debug mode as I told you to? Can you see the debug menu in-game when you press ² (or ù or maybe another key depending on your system language)?
* Does the "glance at map" button (one of the icons on the right atop the IGE Window) work?


Sorry for the bother but this bug is very unusual.

PS: If you feel the English language is troublesome for you (although it does not seem to be) and you're a French-speaker, you can use this language instead.

* Which version do you have? Gods and Kings
* Is your version legal and up-to-date? Yes. it is.
* PC or Mac? PC
* Did you enable the debug mode as I told you to? Can you see the debug menu in-game when you press ² (or ù or maybe another key depending on your system language)? Yes, I enabled it, but I got one question, I have to touch any button or something in the debug panel or i just have to press ² and use ige?
* Does the "glance at map" button work? Its funny beacause that button works :lol:
