Installation Problem

I just got the new Santa Rosa Macbook a few weeks ago, and I found my old copy of Civ 3. I read that you can install it on Mac OS X, but it seems my disc is a Windows only copy. Is there any installers out there that let me install with a Windows version or do I have to buy a whole new CD just for the Mac OS X?

Hi. Welcome

You have three options:

1. Install a copy of Windows on your MacBook, running in BootCamp or Parallels or VMWare. Then install your existing Civ3 for Windows into that.

2. You *may* be able to install CrosstalkCrossover, which replaces Windows, and then install Civ3 for Windows to run in Crossover.

3. Buy the Mac OS X version of Civ3 Complete.

I did a web search for Crosstalk, but came up empty. Can you point me towards it?

Sorry, correction - Crossover. It doesn't work for me, so I've partially expurgated it from my dictionary
